Alberto Mendoza plans to enter the portal.

Probably smart for him. Not sure how good he is...if he'd get a real shot at the starting job or not. But it would be an impossible situation as the younger brother of Fernando to try being the starting QB there.

But coaching failure is a very rewarding occupation as opposed to failed QB.
