It probably sounded that way if you were up high in the arena. Down in the 100 sections and on the court, the students dominated the noise, and any time a "Boiler up" chant snuck though, it was quickly shouted down.

That's exactly right. I heard Boiler Up about 3 times on TV and it was drowned out in about 5 seconds.It sure sounded that way on TV. It was funny to hear the NU fan response drown out the Purdue fans.
