I know I'm being purposely vague. I actually work for a large Franchisee as the Corporate Architect, so I'm "very familiar" with how they operate. I've heard of the Schmidt Family Restaurant Group, but haven't met either of them as of yet.Was going to message you but I guess that a premium content thing .. Its not a secret so I dont think mentioning his name is an issue - My friend is Scott Schmidt , son Juice ( real name ??? ) runs the stores in the Carolina they purchased last year . For all I know they may own closer to a 100 stores now . Own the local BW's as well . Nice family , I was close to the other son for a while .
The majority of the Wendy's in our system are still operating with Dining rooms closed. just now starting to open some of them back up. Honestly there was no hurry, and that goes for a lot of fast food chains. Covid was actually a boon for fast food. Sales up over 20% year over year despite operating as drive-thru only/curbside pickup for most of the time.On a side note I haver another friend who owns a Tim Hortons locally -- he is using labor from the local rehab house to run his store , not exclusively , but several at rehabber's . Its all he can get .
We still have local McDonalds with the dining room closed .
That’s sadly every FF chain these days. I used to stop and get two McDonalds hamburgers and a vanilla shake ever Friday as and end of the week treat to myself. We used to have one of the best Mcds around. Now? It’s awful.I think that used to be the case. But to the OP's point, they have gone downhill over the last few years. Service sucks, portions are smaller and quality dropped off. It now seems bottom of the barrel.
You are the kind of customer they hate. They probably eff your stuff up on purpose. That’s sadly every FF chain these days. Service has gone to crap for a myriad of reasons but a lot of it is people are tired of the crap pay for putting up with crappy people. And we all know it’s true. How many stories and clips have we seen of mostly dumbass Americans readily like six foot toddlers to an incorrect order or having to. God forbid, wait for your food.
Ain’t nothing getting better until we unscrew ourselves.
Sorry. Didn’t mean for my posts to be this way this week. It’s been a rough one and I’ve dealt with too much stupid this week. I’m admittedly in a bad kick *** mood this week.
Lol. I worked retail for THIRTEEN years pal. I have multiple awards for customer service. I have ZERO user complaints at my new position. You are the kind of customer they hate. They probably eff your stuff up on purpose.
Your last two posts are as different as night and day.Lol. I worked retail for THIRTEEN years pal. I have multiple awards for customer service. I have ZERO user complaints at my new position.
People come first buddy. And I know to treat these workers with respect because they’ve earned it.
Then you didn’t read them. The service industry is give and take. A lot of the problems lie with crappy customers. And I’ve severed my fair share of them.Your last two posts are as different as night and day.
Sonic is absolute trash. Other than good marketing, I have no idea how that place stays in business.Beats Sonic where nobody is over 18 and gaf about your order.
Best drinks and prices on their drinks.Sonic is absolute trash. Other than good marketing, I have no idea how that place stays in business.
The service has been god awful at every one but it has been god awful at nearly every convenience type place for over a year now.I eat Wendy's fairly regularly......it's one of my main fast food places.....when I eat fast food. I tend to bounce between 3 locations mainly. I haven't noticed any downhill trends.
Makes you wonder about the future of fast food joints - Pizza Hut pretty much scrapped all dine in and only pretty much have only carry out/delivery modelThe majority of the Wendy's in our system are still operating with Dining rooms closed. just now starting to open some of them back up. Was just sayin that this morning.breakfast baconator is solid
Pretty much. This is why Chik-Fil-A is always the GOAT. You can't get more consistently good than that place. My fast-food theory. Just about all of them were very good at their very beginning or they would never have caught on.
1. Corporations bought out most all of the original owners (who had a good product).
2. New corporate owners began cutting the quality of the process/product for greater profits.
3. They cut the quality of the product to the point that many people stopped buying their product.
4 They improved the product to the "barely edible" level and that is where it remains today.
*They don't worry about the competition because the competition's product is as "barely edible" as theirs is.
Because they're always packed.Sonic is absolute trash. Other than good marketing, I have no idea how that place stays in business.
Not the ones where I live. They are almost never packed and quality of the food is highly questionable.Because they're always packed.
