One thing I have noticed is the lack of defense from many high school teams (much like college). There could be some real shootouts this week.

Games that could go over 80 points combined include-

Mitchell vs Draughn
Murphy vs East Wilkes
Mt Airy vs North Rowan

As far as college except for Iowa and my poor ole Wolfpack great D no offense.
As for the Mitchell -Draughn game before I would say one way to lower the score if Mitchell could have a good ground game with long drives keeping Draughn's offense off the field and that could be the plan.
But Mitchell's offense has improved from opening it up and passing more and not being so one dimensional so that's probably be the best way to score in this game and if they're offense plays to their full potential I can definitely see a shoot out.

He looks definitely more healthy than he was in the first meeting and last night the most he's run since the high ankle sprain in the second game but while having a D having to worry about him more again he has with Duncan back three good backs who are also good receivers plus you're seeing now serval other players getting more involved in the passing game and some younger players getting playing time.

Monte Alban is a great Mexican restaurant. Rib Country and Smoky Mountain BBQ both good. SMBBQ is downtown just past the movie theater. I would recommend it for food and the downtown rustic atmosphere. It's in an old warehouse building.

Yeah it’s just my opinion if he’s healthy if Mitchell is gonna win he’s gonna have to get 20-25 Carrie’s and milk that clock and keep Draughns offense off the field.

Similar to the ES game in 2019.

Not sure what will happen against North Rowan. I am sure North Rowan is loaded with athletes whom can play. Mt Airy starters have not played past 1st quarter in several games. So my question is: will they know what to do if they are HAVING To Play in the third and 4th quarter?

I am truly worried.

Agreed that is Mitchell’s best chance. Limit Draughns opportunities. I really believe the Mitchell offense is the best it has been all season. But is it enough to overcome the defensive liabilities?

I don't see the Mount Airy - North Rowan game being close, Thomasville beat North Rowan by 32 and I think Mount Airy is a lot better than Thomasville.

I know you can't compare scores but regardless Thomasville schedule isn't very good. The Salisbury team that they lost to by three scores got played pretty even by a mediocre Brevard team most of the night last night and the Bulldogs scored 26 on a South Davidson team Mitchell dropped 70 on. Murphy had a running clock the whole 2nd half on a Albemarle team Thomasville mustered 14 against.

It might anger some to say it but I don't see Thomasville as a contender in the 1A west this season, that's not me trying to stir the pot or belittle I just honestly believe that. Thomasville seems to have a pretty good defense but not nearly the offensive output necessary to beat the top 1A west teams

Hayesville, I guess know nothing about CTK
Thomasville by 3
Draughn ugh I hate this pick but Mitchell has something to prove.

How long is the trip to Murphy from EW. Any good places to eat there?

I will second Smoky Mountain BBQ. It’s also a few miles closer to the stadium than Rib Country. Monte Alban is a few miles past the Murphy stadium, too, but they have a location in Andrews that’s also good you can stop at on the way if you’re coming via the gorge. Hoppy Trout Pizza in Andrews is also good and on the way if you’re looking for pizza and coming that way. If you’re coming the other way (over the mountain through Hayesville), Julie’s is on the way about 5 miles before you get to Murphy and is pretty good country cooking. Burger Boy is a good burger joint around the corner from the stadium if they’re open past lunch.

Well the 2019 game was lost when that QB got a high ankle sprain in the Polk playoff game and could barely walk going into the game I don't know how he did what he did on that ankle and finished playing the 4th quarter with cracked ribs.
But maybe he will I doubt he'll run 20-25 times remember he's still playing with a hernia he's had all season but I just don't think with the backs he has behind him that a combination of him being able to run especially to make plays when things breakdowon but now along with the backs he has behind him I believe they can accomplish the same thing without him having to run that many times which good makes them not as predictable.
But as always it will come down the line scrimmage if Mitchell can when that battle which they didn't last game but the line has improved I think one reason while some senors Mitchell has some sophomores rotate on the line so it's probably been a learning curve as the season went.

Good luck finding charging stations.
Depends on the EV.
As far as getting there slowly I have a cousin who has a Tesla if I'm looking at the correct model he has 271 hp top speed 145 mph, range 267-358 miles.
As far charging stations that can be an issue but in that area there are serval and if you have a Tesla there are two or three Tesla superchargers near by 200 miles in 15 minute charge.

the only thing worth having is something that blows a little black smoke out that exhaust when you give it a little fuel.

To each his own people get so upset over EVs if you don't like them then don't buy one. And wether one fits your needs varies from each person's situation personally I wouldn't mind having a hybrid.
Like any technology and supporting infrastructure it'll improve as time goes , people in the late 19th and early 20th thought the horseless carriage was stupid made smelly smoke and unlike a horse which could just stop and graze on a long trip if the new fangled machine ran out of gas where will you get more.
Plus the more people who drive EVs and Hybrids gas demand goes down which lowers gas prices.

Power grid will never support everyone having EVs

But as you said, to each their own. I’d love to have something that got me 40 mpg to drive to work in
Going to work is I believe what serval people are getting an EV for as second car. Another cousin got a new plug in Chevy volt not sure of it mileage but his old hybrid he could drive from Boone to Bakerville and part way back before the gas took over it got around 89 mph.
As far as the grid that's part of the infrastructure that will have to improve over the years not everyone will all sudden start driving them it will be a gradual thing.
Saw a man on TV couple years ago he had it made lives in Hawaii after getting his new house running completely on solar he had someone take out his engine his old SUV and make it electric and just plugged into his solar panel system.

As long as I'm not forced to buy one I don't care who has one. I drive to Franklin every day and get 35mpg. Went to Asheville as nd got 40mpg in my 2014 Chevy Cruze. 6 speed.
I'll take that over a 70,000 electric car with a really expensive battery.
Yeah same here. I’ve got a 2wd tacoma but it’s shot

You will find yourself dead in the water if you have to go on a long trip and find no power stations to power up. Biden got the cart before the horse. Should not have stopped pumping gas for at least 10 years to let the system get off and running., but he was kissing up to the OAC gang of 4. Stupid is as stupid does. I hope he is a lame duck dead in the water after Tuesday. He is a puppet on several strings with Obama pulling most of them and the gang of OAC telling him what to do. Praying for changes. China just making Biden and his son richer with him giving China what they want. He needs to stay in his basement for the next two years ! ! !

I agree. I thought the same thing when Thomasville played Forbush. Thomasville didn't blow them away like Starmount did.
