The Cat Square Johnny Reb’s took it to us. Them West boys are pine knot tough! Overall great football game! Back and forth all night! My Boom Devils need to hold their heads up and continue to improve.

...allowing 2 kickoff returns for touchdowns is a good place to start! That makes 3 this year! Counting Bunker Hills’.

My hats off to West Lincoln team, Coaches, and fans! They building a football program over there and believing in it too! I’m pretty sure that was the 2nd time ever winning back to back games over Maiden(‘70-‘71) Kudos to them... I’m proud of ‘em! Represent the South Fork conference! Young men.

I’m distraught that my Boom Devils will fall out of Chopper’s official unofficial poll “ The Hateful Eight”! I hope we win out and sneak back in... before playoffs! Lol!

I can’t recall West Lincoln winning a playoff game; but, if they did.... it was a long time ago!

West Lincoln has never won a playoff game nor have they ever had one at home. This group of seniors have humble goals. They want a playoff game at home for the school and the community and a playoff Winn. After that is just a bonus. Love this group of young men. The last two years could very well be the best all around young men to grace the halls at west lincoln. Thank you for giving us some love and great ball game to them Blue Devils

West and Maiden was a heck of a football game Friday night. Both teams had some big plays and played pretty solid defense. The West Lincoln offense got the ball back with about 5 minutes or so to play around there own 10 yard line and was able to drive the length of the field before kneeling the game out. Great effort from both squads.

On the topic of playoffs you are correct about West never winning a playoff game. But lets look at the list of playoff games and the opponents. The last three playoff games have been Shelby, Reidsville and Monroe each of who went on to be the eventual state champion in that classification. Hard to recall the rest righ off hand but I think Shelby a couple more times and East Rutherford a while back. The best game we had in the playoffs was Wilkes Central in 08 I believe. But with all that said we need to place better in the conference to get a better draw and a home game!!!
