I watched a documentary on HBO and forensic investigators said it's most likely that a wild animal ate the penis by the looks of the injury . After watching I'm still not sure who killed them but the crazy part is that any one of them could have .

I bet you come away from that saying Terry Hobbs (stepdad) is one guilty SOB.

Was he the one in those holy, praise God videos? Talking about spitting and pissing on the 3's grave?

If so, yeah he did it.

In this doc, they are saying it took precession to do that to that area. A wild animal would have zero precession.

Makes you wonder about the truth documentaries deliver and if they're shaded to a desired outcome . Unless somebody confesses , we'll never know the truth .

Mind blank. I either haven't been that far or forgot it cause of the devil weed.

They also had a "professional" psychologist with a mail order diploma.

Yeah, saw that. WTF? I'd boo that man off the stage if I was a juror and laugh.

What is your opinion on the case? Like I said, I don't know much. Don't care about "spoilers".

Terry Hobbs did it.

I think that's what GLR thinks, I may be wrong.

Please contribute, seriously interested. If you don't mind, that is.

All the evidence points to Terry Hobbs. WMPD chose not to investigate him as a suspect, which sucked. He had no alibi for the afternoon they went missing, his DNA was on a ligature the kids were tied up with, he lied about not seeing the boys earlier in the day when witnesses heard him tell the boys to get home. The Bojangles lead was investigated via the drive thru???? The obvious coerced confession from Jessie. Hobbs is as guilty as hell. West Memphis just dont care enough to pursue it now.

My first wife was from West Memphis. She had a f*d up family. Parents were divorced. Her mom lived in the trailer park where Damion lived. Thats where I met him. He was about 14 or so. This was around 1990. I was in the Navy stationed in Millington TN...very close to WM, Ark. He was a typical kid growing up in the grunge lifestyle. Much of a loner. It shocked me to hear of his arrest. The backwards WMPD screwed it up from the jump. I didn't really know the other two.

I have watched those several times. Still not sure who did it.
They were all over Byers then Hobbs, so that side keeps moving the target as well.
I am still not sure that Byers is innocent. He is a nut and I can't get past him having his teeth removed and lying about a dental disease caused by medication, given a possible bite mark was in play.
Hobbs seems guilty as hell too. Just could not answer any questions.
And I still see possibility that that idiot Damion was involved as well.
Very interesting stuff.

I mentioned it in the other thread. I was 14 at the time and our church group went on a summer retreat to help build/fix houses in the lower parts of town. We were there for the first week of July 1994. One month after the child murders. We heard nothing of it, hundreds of kids in the town that week, we ate at the Bojangles several times and were never told anything.

It wasn't until I saw the Paradise lost doc, about 11 years later that I found out about what happened. Brought back instant memories of the place that we were at, same age as those 3 boys called murderers. We went to one house that was creepy, it had a pagan bible on the mid table, a lot of red and black accents. After watching the documentary, I realized that was Terri Hobbs and his wife's house. That dude has fled to Washington state since the Alford plea that the boys took. IMO, Hobbs is the killer.

West of Memphis is the most comprehensive of the documentaries because it's the most recent, but you really have to watch the original Paradise Lost first if you've never seen any them. It's just an extremely compelling movie. That doc was actually one of the inspirations for my girlfriend to go to law school.

Somewhat related, the Kentucky Innocence Project has been handling a case that has some similarities to the West Memphis 3 case. Two young men were convicted of a murder based in part on so-called expert testimony about the satanic/occult. The victim's body was found in a place in Meade County called Dead Horse Hollow, and she was still grasping a few strands of hair when they found her. At the time, it wasn't possible to conduct DNA analysis on the hairs, so I'm sure you can imagine how that played out.

It's a pretty crazy case that's probably worthy of its own documentary, but here's an article about it if anyone is interested:

DNA Testing May Clear Duo in Satanic Murder - Courier-Journal, March 8, 2015

If anyone is really interested in this case, I really recommend the book Devil's Knot.

Doesn't have the slant that the Paradise Lost documentaries have, but you'll still come away from the book believing that those three kids got absolutely f***ed by the system. The investigation and conduct by the police, prosecution, and judge are almost incomprehensible.
