Seemed like Tville had a couple of opportunities they couldn't capitalize on and turned it over and then some penalties that moved WM down the field that WM scored on. Was told it was a really good hard fought game. Congrats to WM on the win.
Haha the spread is junk. Im almost to the point of not even going to the games anymore. And I havent missed a game in 5 years so it says a lot. Offence is a joke and has been for the past 3 years. 235 left in the game and they didn't even try to win. Anything could have happend and they gave up. Thomasville football is gone and never coming back.
Boys there is a real chance WMont and Emont could be 10-0 when they meet. How good would that be
Griddie..... The man, the myth, the legend.... It's not a possibility... I'll bet my two trailers, four chickens and a Johnson's Cheeseburger on the fact that the two will be. Hell of a few understories on this game. Still a long way from happening. If it does.... I'll assemble the crew.

So if the score is accurate for both teams, then West should beat AHS by around the same as Thomasville did. 55-6. I don't know if I can stand to watch us get dominated by West Stanly. I may sit this one out on Monday. The great thing about last week was that we didn't get embarrassed on the football field. The bad thing about this coming week is that we will get blown out twice. For every piece of good news there is always bad, and boy are we in for a long week.
Lol! Who were the only teams to carry this weak YVC for the past 25 years? And in that time frame won maybe 10 state championships?

For about two quarters and a half, that was a pretty good game.
I was very surprised to see T'ville hold WM scoreless for a half. Part of it was due to the T'ville D, part of it was WM being a little flat.
Coach Eddins must've handed out cans of spinach (amongst other things) at halftime..... cause WM came out with way more intensity. They picked up the pace on offense and straight ran due North on the Dogs. After Jo Leake's speedy dash to the left pylon made it 15-0 (technically 13-0), T'ville marched all the way down to WM's 10 yard line on their ensuing drive. On second and goal, T'ville fumbled the ball and WM pounced on it. That was a killer for the Dogs.
In the fourth quarter, West put this one away for good. That long bomb from Dozier to Morrison down the right sideline was a thing of beauty. West receivers had no trouble getting behind the T'ville DB's the whole game.
The lone bright spot for T'ville was their running backs. Mcneair and Thomas-Taylor have some pretty good quicks and breakaway speed (especially JTT). They ripped off a nice pair of runs in the second half.
After viewing this performance, I think the jury's still out on the Warriors. IMO, they have the potential to make another deep run. However, they'll need to play better overall games than what they did last night.
As for T'ville, they've got a lot of work to do. Right now, West Davidson is the only team I can confidently favor them over in conference play. No one else (not even East.....and never in a billion years would I have ever imagined writing such a thing).
One other thing....WM's Keshaun Baldwin showed off a great pair of hands on that interception in the first half.

I would really enjoy seeing both East and West go into the last week undefeated. With much respect to Thomasville I'll say this, Nobody could touch Thomasville when They where in the YVC except a few times for Albemarle. When the Red Dogs get back to 1aa watch out. Lots of respect for West Montgomery and East Montgomery as You both become one School. I'm hoping that the Programs are this good coming into it
Thomasville may eventually be back in 1AA, but in recent years the enrollment has grown. Thomasville has the same dilemma that some others have in the growing Latino population. That community now represents 31 percent of the system enrollment, but rarely has representation on the football or basketball teams.
So essentially a third of the available male students don't play those sports. Effectively, Thomasville is a 1-A school in its two revenue sports. But that's no excuse for where we are as a team in the third game of the season.
I wasn't able to attend last night's game, but am disturbed at what I'm hearing about our penalties. I hoped that dynamic would be absent this year. We badly need a new superintendent who will come in and reintroduce accountability into our classrooms and athletic fields. The trend we've seen the last three years can't continue.
I propose a huge tailgate party starting at around 3:00 p.m. or earlier if this does indeed happen. And Deanna King better be there front and center. Maybe she can do a podcast. WM, EM, Alb, and all others fans on here. That would be a good time. I vote James Houston as the MC of the event!
