Let's not get too excited about Sinkfield yet. OK, he has 187 yds in 3 games ..... BUT ..... 123 are against EKU who is a TERRIBLE team. The OKSt game he had a HORRIBLE time. 11 yds on 7 carries. Couldn't hit a hole, couldn't get out of his own way. Baylor he did much better with 53 yds on 6 carries. Then again, the BU DL isn't known to stop anything on the ground. KANSAS had 169 yds rushing against BU..... KANSAS.

Don't hate the hype when it is warranted. Just sayin, slow the roll on Alec. He may as well be the backup to Leddie that we need. Let's see how he does against a good D. Certainly EKU and BU weren't tough tests. Last year in 12 games he gained all of 41 yds on 17 carries. Proof will be how he does after we get past the Kansas game. I'll save my accolades till we see him roll @ TTU, vs KSU, @ UT, vs TCU, vs OU, @ ISU. Those 6 games will give us a better feel for him. Let's hope he steps it up. We certainly need a backup to Leddie.

Quick, fast with many gears
and changes of paces.
There's been next to no hype. People were glad to see him look a little better after some 'struggles' in certain areas of his game last year. Nothing more. Nothing wrong with recognizing a guy that may be showing signs of improvement.
I'll be the first to jump on the bandwagon if/when his production continues. Proof is in the putting. We have 2 FR waiting in the wings to get their chance.
Sinkfield is faster than Brown. Brown is the workhorse between the tackles and needs his 20 carries. Just needs to be some carries to Sinkfield to get outside the tackles. Both backs can catch the ball which is a huge plus. Texas Tech can't stop a cold. They are 10th in total defense in the Big 12. Texas Tech is ranked 6th in rushing defense giving up 440 yards so far. K.State is 8th and TCU is 9th. Baylor by the way is 7th.
So 4 of those teams you want to use as reference are the worst defensive teams so far this season.
