Speed limits are not about limiting freedoms either. Highways are designed to standards design speeds. A freeway is designed to 60 mph design speed so grades, curves and banking is designed so vehicles can drive under control, stop when needed and have appropriate sight distance to minimize fatalities. Usually the speed limit is eqyal to or 10 mph more than the design speed. The spped limit is not some number politicians pick to limit driver freedoms.

But if the only person it's affecting is the driver, then it's limiting my freedom to drive 100 mph if I want. Now, I may or may not hurt someone else, and in the event I do, then I deserve prosecution. That's pretty much the same argument for legalizing marijuana and other drugs.

It is not the same argument at all. The government builds roads to be used by licensed drivers and thus has a responsibility to design to a standard and regulate the licensed users, their occupants and other vehicles on the road as well as people in that area. If you travel outside the design limitations of the road you risk everyone on and near the road. You agree to follow speed limits and other laws when you obtain a license. You dont have any rights outside state road laws.

You are way off your numbers. The state of Colorado earmarked $13 million for schools before legalization, and now has flagged $19 million.

Perhaps YOU are the one buying in to the propaganda and misguided information?

Amendment 64 language stated that the 1st 40 million of marijuana taxes collected be ear marked to schools voters upheld this last month. maybe you should read the complete language of amendment 64 that was passed by the voters. Colorado collected way more than the figures you quoted

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/colorado-marijuana-tax-revenue-2015_560053c4e4b00310edf806d3

Ummm......maybe you should read your own link. It says my numbers buddy.

That guy simply can't read. It helps being honest with the facts when attempting to make a point of distinction of opinion.

you should read what the voters past. 40 million is required to be spent on school construction but a prohibitionist like yourself resorts to name calling. I doubt you even know how to read

I read fine. I'm also honest. Two things that are obviously foreign to you. Another thing that is foreign to you are morals. The need for taxes doesn't superscede placing drugs that should be a controlled substance into the marketplace legally. Very simple. Oh, btw.....nice whining about namecalling immediately after namecalling. Typical hypocrite.

I assume this was a lame attempt at a joke. You saying something about "morals" with all the freaks and nuts you support is hilarious. Typical hypocrite...... LMAO...

What freaks and nuts do I support? If you are going to accuse, please have the balls to provide names. I can't think of anyone that fits that description.

Is it moral to put people in jail and to destroy there lives over drugs? is it moral to keep wasting tax payer money on an unwinnable war? Is it moral to keep lining the pockets of corrupt politicians cartels and terrorist organizations that make money off the illegal drug trade? Who died and made you god? who are you to define whats right and wrong? Typical hypocrite buy a mirror and look into it

Nothing from our weed-smoking propagandist today? Figured he would post more statistics that prove I was right. HAHA. Talk about your ultimate fail, this thread was it. Guy was misproven, then provides a link that proves ME right and HIM wrong, then posts an older link that was supposed to show he was right but was outdated and proved to be inaccurate.

Ok.....and that still doesn't validate your claims. And the article was done in 2014.......the article I read and you used earlier that had the numbers that are CORRECT was in 2015.....

Nice try, but ultimate FAIL!

The 1st 40 million was to go to schools. 2014 was the 1st year of legal recreational sales. The state has already met the 40 million that was required by the amendment that was passed by voters. The state can now spend the money however it chooses. The article you have reference is from 2015

Yes, which is NOW and CURRENT and is NOT the $40 million you were attempting to say was being spent on education. They are only spending $19 million....yet you conveniently left that part out. Wonder why?

Go smoke your weed and have "fun". I'd prefer it stay in Colorado.

They only spent 19 million on schools in 2015. They where only obligated to spend the 1st 40 million which was done in 2014. The state constitution only mandated 40 million why don't you take the time to read what was passed by the voters and you will see that only 40 million was guaranteed. Maybe if this was passed in WV the 40 million spent would have increased your reading comprehension abilities

I thought this was 2015? Not 2014? So what you are saying is what I've been saying. Who's reading comprehension is bad? They spent $40 million in 2014......and $19 million in 2015......hmmmmm......which is the more recent statistics?

Well if it's legalized for medicinal or recreational it makes no difference to me. My plans to capitalize on it are already being made.

since you are a person who probably spouts off about the bible look what it says about seed bearing plants

Genesis 1:29English Standard Version (ESV)
29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.

Last I checked marijuana was a seed bearing plant

Are you really that moronic? Again, you post a quote that will disprove what you are saying. Look back at it.......

"....You shall have them for food"........

Last time I checked, you didn't EAT marijuana.

And, you eat the damned thing? I have not indulged, but I thought it was to be smoked. When you eat it, how is it prepared? Main course , or side dish?
