Right, they simply got out played too! It was a good game! Way to go Bulldogs!Smith got out-coached again. Smh. All that talent including Harrell and couldn't pull it off.
That would be doubtful I’m sure with all those good 6A teams close to Westfield. Grant it that would be a great game just seems unlikely.Right, they simply got out played too! It was a good game! Way to go Bulldogs!
I'd like to see my Springers have you guys on our schedule one day!
Highland Springs vs Westfield! That would draw a big crowd!
Or maybe HS v OFS? That too would be a barn burner! That would be doubtful I’m sure with all those good 6A teams close to Westfield. Grant it that would be a great game just seems unlikely.
I am with you 100% on that one!Whoever plays, one thing I'd like to see is VCU or the city of Richmond step up and offer to host the 5/6 championships at Richmond City Stadium (formerly managed by U of Richmond). No disrespect meant to Hampton or William and Mary, both of which are nice FCS facilities, but Richmond as the state capital, and more centered for the majority of the Class5/6 schools would be a good place to have the games and probably bigger crowds.

I know as a Highland Springs Springer from the 1970's, I'd love to see some Championship Football there again!
I think The Richmond Kickers own or run it now.
I believe the reason they moved wasn't turnout was low, but rather University of Richmond built an on campus stadium and relinquished the daily management of the stadium. That why the name reverted back to City Stadium from University of Richmond Stadium. Looking back when I last remember going there, I don't think any of the crowds in recent years has been bigger than what City Stadium had. The lowest attended AAA, Division 5/6 games were at Virginia Tech which is over a 200 mile drive from damn near 90% of the schools in those classifications. It was better at UVa than the last couple of years at Hampton University. Part of that is the in Westfield and Centreville, you're talking about two of the largest enrollments in the state, and they traveled well.It used to be there and they moved it bc the turn out was low I think.
