Heaven Hill 6-Year-Old Green Label....cheap, relatively unknown bourbon that beats many name brands by a mile...
Water for now. Will open a bottle of Decoy Cabernet at halftime.
I'm having Tar Heel Tears IPA. .. its a bit fake tasting ... but delicious !!! LOL.

I know I'm boring, but I don't drink anymore. Haven't touched a drop since before my son was born. He turned 7 yesterday. Alcoholism runs in the family, so he doesn't need to see me drinking for his sake.

Lived on this stuff in college. It's not gonna win any awards but it's criminally underrated for how cheap it is.
I was introduced to some whiskey while in the smoky mountains. It's from the Old Smoky Moonshine Distillery, but it's an actual whiskey. Salted caramel.
I brought a bottle home with me, perfect night for a glass. It ain't Kentucky bourbon, but it's a delightful change of pace. Felt fitting.[cheers]

started with some corona lights and then moved over to Weller Antique. Going to 5 guys now to pick up a burger and milkshake for the 2nd half of this football game.
bought some today - must be popular wasn't many bottles left- gets great reviews - I mix with diet coke so not going to pay for the high price swig

My dad let me sip beer at Busch Stadium when i was around 8 and on. I'd say dad gimme a sip. He'd say "don't let mamma see". Felt like a real man. 8 years old, Missouri heat in old busch down near the turf watchin the cards. Straight 1993. Damn 115 degrees and summa dads Bud. Grandad in Kentucky loved to hear about me dipin bacco during little league games. Thought it was great.
As I later became an addict and 2 pack a day smoker in my early 20's, I decided I wouldn't follow the same routine with mine.
I loved my dad. My best friend. Led me to greatness through building me up before I deserved it. He really was awesome.
But he also liked the thrill.. and cocaine was it. He got busted... ended up working for CIA/DEA.. and turned the corner. I learned what NOT to do early on.. and what TO do on my own.
Hope you like it...For the most part, it’s only available in Kentucky. It’s cheap, has good flavor and 90 proof. What else could you ask for?

I had a triple birthday for a few friends. Had a potluck brunch at noon with mimosas and some Flower Powers for flip cup.. Then got to a Biergarten styled bar to watch the game.. All they had was Jim Beam though..
