What’s the one food that you just can’t eat?

Chitlins - Smelled them being cooked as a youngster. I might try a small bite if held at gunpoint.

Circus peanuts - Like eating a lightly sweetened piece of foam rubber.

Angel food cake - See Circus peanuts.

Worst things I ever ate?

A lady I worked with brought in some homemade blueberry muffins made with coconut flour. The texture was what I believe finely ground and packed Styrofoam would be like.

For me it's brussel sprouts!

Gag!!!

Typical answer I know but now I understand.
Surprised it took three pages for Brussel Sprouts to get a mention, but I'm with you on them. They's naysty. Don't care how any of you fruits out there want to roast them up or sauce them up. They's vile and naysty.

Same goes for olives. I call them Evil Balls. You can't spell Olive without E V I L or V I L E. They are the devil's testicles.

And Sauerkraut... don't even get me started... gross...just gross.

I can eat a whole jar or can of olives as a snack.

Brussel sprouts are delicious. As are olives and sauerkraut. Anything with vinegar or just vinegar. Delicious.

I'll try most anything and have found if it's cooked correctly, it's usually pretty good.

Fish head soup, any animal head slow cooked, sweetmeats, durian, even bitter melon if cooked properly.

Son, vegetarians are p*****. I'm straight vegan.

I did vegan for about two months a couple of years ago just as a personal challenge. It was easier than I thought actually. My wife figured out I was doing it but I've never told anyone else about it until now. Has to be a world record for not preaching about it.

You guys can stomach it better than me. Around ten years ago I adopted the vegan diet for about two months because the girl I was dating at the time was vegan. I'm not a picky eater (I'll eat almost anything except brains, bugs, testicles, and stuff like that) but after a few weeks I couldn't stand it (the fact that the girl and her friends would frequently go on and on and on about how great veganism is didn't help).

Personally, this falls into two categories; foods I won't eat and foods I can't eat.

What I won't eat includes:

(a) Pigs' feet, Underwood Deviled Ham, Liver, Gizzards and any internal organs mashed up to make one believe it's edible.
(b) My wife's fish paste. She's Asian and it's apparently a staple in Vietnam but IMO, it's the nastiest, foulest smelling condiment known to man.
(c) Anything with mayonnaise.
(d) Canned fish such as sardines as some have already mentioned as well as anchovies on pizza.
(e) Sauerkraut, Kimchi, hogs' heads and pig lips.

What I can't eat due to a kidney stone about 5 years ago includes just about anything that tastes good. My doctor gave me a six page list, front and back, of foods that I can't eat and it includes spinach, strawberries, kale, black tea, almonds, peanut butter and chocolate. The irony is that most of the foods are supposed to be healthy but are a major contributor to kidney stones in some individuals such as myself.

I eat meat for one reason, I don’t want the death of an animal to be in vain. If Porky or Elsie have to die, it would be a disservice for them to die for no reason.

I can't eat hominy. Tried it twice when I was way young and it made me throw up both times. That's enough.

The list of things that I won't eat, or haven't eaten, is fairly short as well. Coconut, rhubarb, and asparagus.

I kid mostly...

It's not like I have the pallate of an 8 year old, There's plenty I WILL eat. I like Asparagus, mixed greens, Broccoli, spinach, celery, radishes, cucumbers, zucchini, Squash, things like that. It's not like I don't get a healthy intake of veggies and the like. But that other stuff.. gross.. just..

Yuck.

Funky organ meat (liver, gizzards, tripe, testicles, tongue, etc.)

I am pretty much with you on this except that tongue is not an organ. It's a muscle just like any other. I tried bison tongue on a cruise a few years ago and it just tasted like a really good tender steak cut. Not something I would ever order or get intentionally, but it was pretty good, nevertheless.

The tongue is an organ. It may not fall into "organ meat" traditionally but it is indeed an organ.
