First off lets clear the air, I would go to war with TnT. I have also expressed changes need to made, but not at the head coach position. Im going to go one step further and say if TnT do not make progress soon that will make an impact then maybe they are not able to. I still believe they can.
Ben just had hip surgery not to long ago and may have aggravated something during the duals so I believe he is taking what he can at the moment, also that guy is good.
I just made a post about how I do not like our scoring track record at heavy and there lies a big problem with coaching/training, but Having the Mocco's around should help significantly.
Yep. Amos had Yonger nearly beat. He is no slouch.

If LL is banged up Carl won’t wrestle him.
Common sense says we only have a punchers chance. I am also interested to see what the attendance will be. It might be to our advantage to start the meet at 184.
I don't think LL is banged up at all, so he should be going. PSU doesn't have a backup 125 right now. Nate Desmond is technically the backup at 125, but he weighed in at 138 on 12/20 to cover for Nagao at 141, so I don't think he's allowed to be back to 125 yet. There's no one else on the roster there, so it's either LL or forfeit.

If you haven’t followed, Mesenbrink has turned and even pinned a number of guys this year, which is a big departure from the past. It could add an interesting facet Friday.
Im not sure I have seen anyone as good on bottom as Caliendo.

Is this the first dual Tom ever elects not to start at 125?

It would be in his best interest to start at 184. On paper it would give him wins in 2 of the first 3 matches with some momentum at landing a punchers chances at 125 and 133.

I don't see it happening although I also considered the possibility. And now with the Endene development, it might further smack of desperation. Desperate is not a good look.

Momentum won't matter. It's not like any of PSU's wrestlers will somehow be affected by that . The guy across the mat matters.

Does "Carvered" mean the combination of uncontrolled adrenaline dump and home fan influenced referee calls affecting a visiting wrestler?

Angel Rivera can address the latter.
I never interpreted it to mean anything about officiating but yeah the adrenaline dump, crowd getting in their head, momentum, etc. all things that don’t mean much if the guy across the mat is what matters.

Again if you need to be hyped to perform you're the wrong game. You should be able to self motivate and block those things out. You act like these guys have never had big matches or been in big meets before.

Ok, glad to know where you stand on it. I am not taking a side one way or the other but atmosphere and big matches are two different things.

Wrestling a dual in front of 15,000 people and wrestling a big match like world trials or worlds in front of 2,000 can elicit different responses. Never know until you are there. The guys in question like Luke, Blaze, and Duke are elite of the elite though so they would seem less likely to be impacted by it than most.

It impacted Mark Hall, who was pretty much the Blaze of his time. So, it could happen, but I wouldn’t expect it from the current guys. They seem to have maturity and professionalism well beyond their years.

I agree with you, and I know some of the matches people are referring to because if I'm not mistaken I believe Mark Hall lost there to Kemmerer. Sorry if I misspelled it.

And didn't he lose his first match there to him also. I mean his first match in college division one? But obviously mike was a very talented wrestler as was Mark so I don't put it as much as the crowd but the quality of the opponent.

To me the Home field advantage comes more while you're in your home you don't have to travel and worry about weighing in while you're on the road and such like that and I agree that can't play a part.

Wasn't that Mark Hall's first match ever? I mean in D1?
