4 interceptions is that armstrong's most interceptions for a game this year?

You guys are idiots. langs didn't instruct tommy to throw 4 balls to opposing players. Tommy was off tonight and there wasn't any saving it

That said the 4th and 1 call was
Dreadful. But one play didn't lose
The game

I'm sick of hearing we don't have the talent. If our OC was competent and used this teams talent I'm not sure we wouldn't be undefeated.
If you knew anything about football you would realize that Danny Langsdorf calls a good game. Go back and watch the tape of the game. We have receivers open on EVERY SINGLE PLAY. Tommy can't get it to them because he 1) can't make reads 2) can't throw the ball well enough to get it to them. Give us a competent qb and this team would have won 9 or 10 games.

Your kidding right? We have the worst QB Nebraska's had in generations and very mediocre RBs. We were never going undefeated and probably no better than 8-4 if everything went great!

Maybe MR is just letting Tommy hang himself so that it will be easier to replace him next year.

I don't think Mike is LETTING Tommy hang himself, but Tommy is certainly going out of his way to do it. 7 picks in his last two games. Good thing we went up 21-0 against Rutgers....

You call everybody idiots when people point out some serious coaching blunders with this staff. Maybe you should save that for when you know...do something of note? I'm afraid you may be waiting awhile. And by that time, Riley will be retired.

Went up 21-0and started throwing.... did Tommy check into those throws or were those called plays from coaching? rhetorical question emoji

4th down call was terrible. Otherwise this is on tommy. Kid plays his heart out and has done a lot of good in his career. Today was not an example.

There are games where you could make the argument we should have run the ball more (Illinois sticks out) but Iowa was stuffing the run today. It doesn't help that newby is just not a good running back. Like Tommy, he's got the tools to be better than he is, but when the game is going on they both fall back on bad habits. Tommy throws off his back foot and Newby doesn't have any vision.

We have been really lucky the last few years to get to 9 wins. With that being said this 5-7 season sucks, but just as easy as this 5-7 team could be 8-4, 9-3, so could of pelini's.

See, this is why people who ***** about Langsdorf can't really be taken seriously for the most part. We went up 21-0 largely BECAUSE of the passing game. Then Tommy went back to being Tommy and we actually STOPPED passing the ball because his decisions were so awful, and we stopped scoring. Those of you who think we should be running all the time aren't paying attention to how little our run game produces, even when we lean on it.

Funny how earlier you said you and I don't know that, but now the fact that you don't know that matters now? What we do know is what we have seen from tommy all year and that he's gotten worse. That's coaching whether you can accept it or not.

Yeah no need to run the ball and clock, then punt and take momentum and 21point lead into half on the road.... silly fans

Then what's your CotD@mn excuse for the coaches leaving him in there???? You sorry @$$ Riley lovers CAN'T have it several ways!!!
1. It's the talent.
2. It's the locker room.
3. It's the QBs IQ
4. It's the fans.
5. It's the coaches' first year here.

STOP IT! If you can't put responsibility on the head coach and the staff he chose, what kind of leadership is there? Answer: NONE.

Guess you don't know what it means to commit to the run. We dabble. That is the entire issue. Oh well. DL doesn't get it either. He thinks this is the NFL.
