so probably should have known better, but I just introduced my five year old niece to coffee and her mom got super pissed at me. my older brother doesn't care, but didn't back me up with his wife. i gave my niece just a few sips worth, this can't be harmful for kids. i tried to tell her mom this. is it safe for kids? google has results that go both ways.

Probably the age your nieces parents say to give them coffee. I was drinking coffee at 8, lots of sugar and cream, according to my mom. Tasters Choice !

If you add it to formula in the bottle, be sure to put lots of sugar in so they will drink it. Can get a head start on meth mouth.

The French give five year olds wine. Russians, three fingers of vodka. And in some island nations in the South Pacific she would have already killed an octopus in a rite of womanhood. Your niece will survive some sips of coffee. Tell your sister in law to f off.

MY daughter has ten children. I have given everyone of them, "sips" of coffee. She has twins that are 31/2. (I have nick named them Heckle and Jeckle.) They pester me to death when I have a cup of coffee....which is almost all of the time!

For me it's more of a question of what day of the week is it safe. That depends more on what schedule you and your ex-wife are working with and what time she is due to pick the kids up.

Is there something you want to say about America?

My grandpa let me have a puff off his cig and a few sips of beer at age 2, so I'm pretty sure a little coffee never hurt a kid that was damn near 6. That's working age in some countries.

Europeans give small amounts of alcohol occasionally to children in social settings so they associate it with that and not getting drunk and binge drinking. Do that.

One time can't do anything but going forward obviously, why?

Tell your brother he needs to grow some balls and I'd be done with his ***** wife if she truly had a problem with you letting their daughter have some coffee. You did nothing wrong at all. Not sure if trolling but awf, after 10 kids that thing is ruined and yeah he might want to go to college before he has 10 kids.

So, how can they afford a 5500 square foot house on a post military/pre college degree income including obvious child support needs and food?

I'm grateful that he served, but it's obvious someone other then him is floating the bill. How is this different than the welfare mother?

Wanna know a home remedy while we're on the subject? If your child has asthma (as I did and I personally know this work) and is having an asthma attack, a nice fresh cup of joe will be a big help for them breathing easier on the way to the hospital. No joke!

And let me guess, once who found out how God awful both of those tasted, you never did smoke/drink as an adult, right?

Just break out a case of Mountain Dew for the kiddos before your daughter picks them up.....especially if it's close to their bed time...

No one is floating them anything. My daughter has several things going on that she makes good money at. They don't get any type of assistance from anyone including me.
He received enough training in the Air Force to make him more qualified that most when he retired. He receives retirement, goes to school on the GI Bill. I would also stack him up against anyone. They are making their own way. I bet there are not many on here who could work a 36 hr shift and be reliable doing it. Maybe because you losers don't have the back bone to do what this guy is doing you slam him. There isn't anyone who has a right to say what they are doing and how they are doing it is the "wrong plan". It is working for them.

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this still was America where I had the right to free speech.

I guess these new jackboot military types really are doing all they can to make sure the little guy can't speak his mind anymore.

It is sad.

Having ten kids while in the military, before attaining a college degree, and having to work almost twice as much as normal person sure is a plan alright.

A terrible, terrible plan.

It probably is a terrible plan for you. Not many people have the get up and go to do what they do. That doesn't make it right or wrong. We only had one child. My wife came from a big family and my daughter always said she wanted a big family. As long as they feed them, teach them discipline, and see that they get educated who is to say they are wrong?

I'd love to see a pic of said 5500 sq ft house in Lexington.

And you are who? Why are you interested? You want to see what it is like to live in a nice house? Why would I want to put a picture on here?
It would probably just make you feel like a lazy loser.

What kind of work does he do that requires a 36 hr shift? Firefighter or crab fishing? Let me know what the job is and I'll tell you if I could do it.

He works on robotics, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on a injection molding line. The over time is because evidently they are very short handed. He also volunteers for overtime. Any time you work on machinery on an assembly line you are under the gun when the line stops. I can assure you he isn't sitting someplace cat napping!

Yea, the problem is none of your math works out. You're lying about something. He's retired but makes enough for 10 kids and a 5500 sq ft house. So after 20 years, he gets half his base pay. Not enough. He may be super soldier 3000 but not how your telling it. Retired, but works 36 hours, school full time. Yea, he's on assistance and sounds like a terrible father who never sees his kids.

If you're going to post in the Paddock, you need to get with it, Daddy-o. Rules of the game are put up or shut up. Don't like it? Then scram.

(old 50s/60s slang used because I assume you're old AF.)

As a matter of fact he was a super soldier. His first tour at Mildenhall RAF he was "Airman of the Year" along with being on the traveling honor guard. I wouldn't be afraid to put his military career up against any thing you have accomplished. You couldn't carry his military file it has so many "atta" boys in it. Your problem is you are comparing him to yourself. Evidently you aren't able to accomplish what he has. When he graduates in Dec. he will have his bachelors degree.
Maybe you should spend some time sharpening your comprehension skills. He works as much as 36 hrs a week overtime. Maybe you need to read about military retirement and the GI bill? I bet he spends more time with his nine children that are still at home than you do yours, if you have any.

I guess if 62 is old, then I guess I am an AF as you state. I don't feel the need to prove anything to a bunch of people who are still wet behind the ears. The only thing most of you have accomplished yet is to graduate from HS and got your drivers license. I am living the retired life that wannabes like yourself are striving for. Keep working kid. Maybe you will get smart and figure it out some day. It is fun to travel and enjoy life.....

Who said he waited post military to go to college. He has an associates degree. He is going for a bachelors degree in robotics.

Why the hell would anyone want to caffinate (new word I just invented) a little kid? Sounds awful, they're hyper enough as is. And awf, don't blow a gasket buddy, they're just trying to get a rise out of you and your son in law who I guess works as a laborer on an assembly line and will be replaced by a robot in the very near future.

How many tours to Iraq or Afghanistan have you served? Maybe you need to be more respectful of man that was willing to lay it on the line for loud mouths like you. I am positive that living/working inside of a concrete bunker in 115 degree temps isn't any way as tough as teaching is it. You need to look in the mirror before you disparage people who have sacrificed so
you can spout your pie hole off. Keep trudging to your little teaching job hating on successful people.

Actually he is the lead guy on his shift. The only way he gets replaced is if they build a robot to fix the things he does.

Did you just quote yourself? And argue with yourself? Yea, none of this is made up...
