He works on robotics, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on a injection molding line. The over time is because evidently they are very short handed. He also volunteers for overtime. Any time you work on machinery on an assembly line you are under the gun when the line stops. I can assure you he isn't sitting someplace cat napping!

Have you been working on being a complete tool are does it just come naturally?
Is your name Richard? You act like one. I see you are a teacher. What do you teach, how to be an ***?
You seem to be adept at it.
So he really is the guy with the hockey stick? That's the only reason I could see for getting upset at that post. Calm down before you stroke out, bro.

How many tours to Iraq or Afghanistan have you served? Maybe you need to be more respectful of man that was willing to lay it on the line for loud mouths like you. I am positive that living/working inside of a concrete bunker in 115 degree temps isn't any way as tough as teaching is it. You need to look in the mirror before you disparage people who have sacrificed so
you can spout your pie hole off. Keep trudging to your little teaching job hating on successful people.
I'm not sure I've said one word about the dude that I actually think is true. You're the jackass here, not him. I bet he joined the military in order to get away from his in-laws ...

Who said he waited post military to go to college. He has an associates degree. He is going for a bachelors degree in robotics.
Really? Cool. Can you please tell us which college or university this amazing individual currently attends?

Thanks.

<--- was sipping coffee black, straight, pure hardcore **** when I was 5 at my granny's house.

Big reason why I think coffee tastes like **** and haven't drank it in over 20 years.

He served in the military so a jackass like yourself can spout off any thing they want.

so probably should have known better, but I just introduced my five year old niece to coffee and her mom got super pissed at me. my older brother doesn't care, but didn't back me up with his wife. i gave my niece just a few sips worth, this can't be harmful for kids. i tried to tell her mom this. is it safe for kids? google has results that go both ways.

Your wife has to be SERIOUSLY in the wrong for you to take someone else's side. If it's something as harmless as coffee and my baby brother's hurt feelings... yeah I'm going to take the side of the person that I'm boning on a regular basis. I'll buy him a beer later, and tell him he was probably right.

As for coffee, a little bit isn't going to do anything. I'm not even sure if the whole "stuning a child's growth" thing is true anymore. Over the last decade, coffee has been on the rise in terms of a "health" food. Just don't load it with sugar and dairy.

Either way, I can't imagine a 5-year old thought it was any good. Might as well give her some bourbon now and ensure she doesn't drink until 18+..

I had no idea you could get an actual Bachelor's degree in robotics (I looked it up. It's legit). I thought they were all BSEE/BSME degrees with emphasis on automation. I guess I don't understand the logic behind that degree in this situation b/c the majority of the world's automated assembly robotics come from overseas (Asian). It's all purchase-place-program implementation on this side of the pond when it comes to manufacturing/assembly. It's just cheaper that way. Now, if it's home automation or of military discipline, I understand that as they have that here.

So, is the guy wanting to learn how to design and engineer actual robotics or how to program and implement them into an manu/assy system, which is obviously where his expertise lie? Are we talking harmonic drive stabilization, servos and pneumatic end effectors or are we talking resulting vectors, work envelopes, PLC's and Wheatstone bridges? Home automation? Drone design? Mechanical pack mules? This is need-to-know stuff, b/c one direction is quite promising. The other will lead him down the path of the CADbot with no OT and possibly less income than he's dragging in right now.

I have never discussed this with him. I know that the company he presently works for has approached him a few times with the offer to pay for his education. He didn't bother to tell them that he was under the GI Bill. He moved up through this company pretty fast. He hadn't been with them much over a year when they implemented a third shift and made him the lead man. I would have to assume he is capable in his field. He is also smart enough to not waste time on a degree that is almost killing him with no reward.

[laughing] That turned quickly.

Back to original question. Either don't tell Super Mom OR make sure she's cool with it. I was drinking soft drinks at like 5-6 and they're WAY worse than regular coffee.

Just wanted to lend my support to coffee for kids. Great way to boost them in the morning or the evening.

On days that I don't have to be at the studio, I like to head down to the local roller rink and pass out cigarettes. These kids today have no idea what burning down a crispy will do for your anxiety. Flick the Bic and ditch the bitchin'.....what I always say.

As I've also said before, I enjoy taking a nice stroll past my local Christian church and talking young / impressionable teenagers into abortions. Why should anyone tell them what to do with their bodies? I'm not giving them the abortion. I'm just telling them they should probably do it.

Some gypsy children start smoking around age 4. Just tell her mom that.

There is 0 chance dude works 36 hour shifts on an assembly line. Absolutely none. Thanks for wasting all of our time.

Yea, the problem is none of your math works out. You're lying about something. He's retired but makes enough for 10 kids and a 5500 sq ft house. So after 20 years, he gets half his base pay. Not enough. He may be super soldier 3000 but not how your telling it. Retired, but works 36 hours, school full time. Yea, he's on assistance and sounds like a terrible father who never sees his kids.
5500 square feet in lexington go for around 3/4 of a mill, unless we're talking an abandoned pre engineered building fitted up for residential use. Ex miltary working maintenance at a factory ain't pulling that kind of scrilla.

It depends where it is. You can easily get into something recently built like that in the 400-500's.

As a matter of fact he was a super soldier. His first tour at Mildenhall RAF he was "Airman of the Year" along with being on the traveling honor guard. I wouldn't be afraid to put his military career up against any thing you have accomplished. You couldn't carry his military file it has so many "atta" boys in it. Your problem is you are comparing him to yourself. Evidently you aren't able to accomplish what he has. When he graduates in Dec. he will have his bachelors degree.
Maybe you should spend some time sharpening your comprehension skills. He works as much as 36 hrs a week overtime. Maybe you need to read about military retirement and the GI bill? I bet he spends more time with his nine children that are still at home than you do yours, if you have any.
Maybe you should learn how to communicate as your post clearly said
I bet there are not many on here who could work a 36 hr shift and be reliable doing it.
Which is a **** ton different than working 36 hours of overtime a week.

Can somebody ban this troll?

So the dude was in the RAF (royal air force, aka the british air force) and got the GI bill? Something doesn't add up. Actually, nothing you have said adds up. Get lost, troll.

Smart ***. For your information the US Air Force uses several RAF bases in England. (Fairford, Mildenhall, Lakenheath, Mennowith Hill and a couple of others. Some of the bases are occupied by British and American troops. Maybe if you was to get out of mom's basement you would learn something. It makes you look foolish to ridicule a statement by another that is correct.

I was actually wrong. When I get done finishing their walk out basement in a few weeks, it will only be 5280 sq ft. Some of you people are so full of it.

Perhaps David Koresh is really alive?!?

Sounds like the 5280sf walk-out basement may contain a sunken school bus bunker of breeders.

Whoever this Renaissance man is, he has a spell over his Father in Law. Creepymeter is pinned @11...

I guess that does sound like a lot of space for a school teacher that probably lives in a 700 ft slab house.

This statement would lead me to believe that if any of your children are married you are ashamed of their spouses. It seems likely that they are married to losers.
