I think he hits that pass only 1 out of 25 times he throws it! Especially,under pressure! Nailed that pass to only where Pardon can get it! We need to have a contest replicating that one in a thousand shot!

The real risk is overthrowing it (which I thought he did) which gives Michigan a real good chance to win it. The play set up really requires a perfect pass to get over the defense but in bounds. I'd say 1-100 and maybe even longer odds than that.

Apparently, 1 out of 1. As Nate points out in the video, they made it on their first try......

For the footballers it was something like 1 of 4.

Keeping one of the taller defenders away from the basket doubled the odds for success, so as it was executed more like a 50-50 chance.

OK, here are the odds from the guy who drew up "The Miracle Play:"

“You can probably do it without any defense in a gym by yourself and probably it wouldn’t work,” James said. “Those things are gonna work one out of every 10 times.”

Certainly made up for the Nebraska Hail Mary that cost us that game a couple years ago.
