I thought Tool, Metallica, and Slayer had the best sounding sets. Kinda curious who the band is that got kicked off the show that was originally supposed to play. A lot of rumors it was Megedeth or Motley Crue.Been listening to the final Black Sabbath show from a few days ago.
- Steven Tyler still has it. Thought his voice was shot beyond repair but he's capable of doing shows with several days rest between them.
- The Yungblud dude that did Changes was impressive. Did a bit of a dive into his catalog and it's not my thing but he's got some pipes.
- Bummer to see Ozzy in a wheelchair but he still sounded OK. Geezer and Iommi can still deliver the goods at a high level.
- Hole in the Sky was a tough one for James Hetfield to sing.
A lot of people think it's Soundgarden. They were on the original bill but didn't perform. They released a statement today citing a "busy schedule" or something to that effect. It makes sense in that they're probably not making much money these days and going from the west coast to England for a 20-minute set at 1 p.m. would be a waste of time unless there's money involved. I don't even know who sings for them these days though. They don't have enough pull to make ridiculous demands in 2025.I thought Tool, Metallica, and Slayer had the best sounding sets. Been jamming out to Los Lobos. A Mexican-American band out of LA. They've been doing it for 50+ years now.
For fans, this is their best-known track
I love this one
And then there's this throw-down. I love this even more. Mas y Mas
And of course even casual music fans have heard this cover of the Ritchie Valens classic, La Bamba.
