Not exactly edgy but Kenny Loggins greatest hits.
I don't know enough about drumming to debate that in good faith, but I've always been in awe of Danny Carey.
Whenever "the GOAT drummer" debate comes up, and the usual suspects start getting named (Bonham, Peart, buddy Rich etc.), I chuckle and play Rufus Jones, and that essentially ends the discussion. Greatest left hand in history, custom made and passed down from God himself. LOL
I think I can top that. I have the Little River Band's greatest hits in my car. Great band that few today have heard of.I have been listening to some stuff from my high school days but the last week or so I have been binge listening to Huey Lewis and the News for some strange reason.![]()
Simply UFB guitar tone … !!!
Some songs sound like his old stuff which I dig. Some of his newer albums were not my cup of tea.Digging the new Sturgill album. I generally don’t like country music at all, but have a soft spot for more traditional sounding country. It’s not a genre I want to listen to everyday, but if fits certain moods very well.

I totally agree on the 1st album. It had a Waylon Jennings vibe to me. I think the acid rock album required the acid.I like the acid rock album he made in 2019, but know I am in the minority. I thought several of the songs were good … after you sat through 90 seconds of essentially noise. His first two albums are my favorite of his because it has that 70s country sound.
I’m gonna be unpopular in here, so just ignore aside from the few hip hop guys…
But the West is back. Thanks Kenny. My pinnacle is early 90s, smooth, g funk.
A simple formula of some, or all, of these ingredients:
The unmistakable west coast siren/synth, fart bass, ebony beauties, a smooth or often female hook, and just easy cruising sounds…poor/wack simpleton lyrics, often centered around weed, bravado, and summertime. Typically a hoopty ride present if there’s a video. (maybe some occasional gang/murder related talk nbd)
The best era. Summer jams, as we called them.
Here’s a few non-popular you’ve probably never heard, and if you have, you’re my people.
Starter pack. Long overdue. Avg age of these songs aside from the Chicano is 25+ yrs old. West coast renaissance happening rn, so I’m gonna be here for a minute.
