HFP is definitely my favorite from them, closely followed by MEO.

Math rock/midwest emo is definitely my favorite musical genre. I lean more to just midwest emo more than the really intensive math rock though. TTNG is definitely great stuff. Algernon Cadwallader I really dug. American Football, The Hotelier, Look Mexico, older stuff like Pinback and The Promise Ring. All of those are definitely filling out my Spotify playlists.

You got any favorites/any other suggestions?

IDK if there's an easy way to search for all my posts here, but alot of them are math rock or at least in a similar vein.

Right now I'm really digging the new Woes album (not the Post-hardcore poppunk band, although I like them too):

Oragami Button is nice.

Delta Sleep had a fantastic release this year

There's a very good Math Rock and Post-Hardcore exchange on FB too.. I get most of my stuff there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/mathrockexchange

Different type of song from The Pretty Reckless but I dig it (new cut off upcoming CD). Not my normal taste in rock but there's something about their sound that catches my ear.

I know a guy who never knew his dad and he said his mom told him once that his dad could possibly be the bass player for Molly Hatchet. Could be true, the dude had incredible rhythm.
I used to date the niece of one of their guitar players in hs. No joke. She got me a shatload of free records and gear. This was late 90s and I was a grunge fan at the time so it was cool but I didn't care. Now, two decades later, I love them as my music tastes have vastly expanded and am a musician myself, so that was a real wasted opportunity.
