Today in history. The Beatles release their last single in America (1970). The Long and Winding Road. My favorite.

They're gonna be in Louisville and Nashville this fall. XXI Century Blood's a 10/10 album and I'd go see 'em in Lexington in a heartbeat, but I wouldn't drive to Louisville or Nashville on a Saturday for a show unless Kurt Cobain came back to life and played for free.

I was lucky enough to see Sharon Jones several times. I really miss her and The Dap-Kings. Fantastic in every way !!

I’ve been checking out Kerry King’s debut solo album.

(Spoiler: It sounds like a Slayer album fronted by the lead singer of Death Angel)

Terry Reid changed Robert Plant’s life forever when he turned down Jimmy Page’s solicitation to be the singer of a new rock band. Reid and his band were committed to a large tour and Reid declined the invitation, but recommended a young singer that he’d recently seen perform … the rest is history.
