Of the older acts that I was old enough to have seen, would have loved to have seen Dire Straits in their prime. .

I still give my mom crap about who all she missed. She was born in 1952. Now I realize that Owensboro didn't get a ton of big shows in the 1960s but by 1970 she was in Lexington and owned a car. She could have in theory seen Led Zeppelin, the Doors, The Who (original), John Lennon, The Stones, etc.

What concerts has she been to in her 67 years? America, The Osmonds, and The Beach Boys after Brian Wilson left.

I had a ticket to Lollapalooza in Cincinnati back in 2003. Was gonna see Audioslave, Janes Addiction, and Queens of the Stone Age.

Wrecked my car and didn't have a way to get there :(

I completely agree. Based on my list, it is easy to see I enjoy metal music. Bogart's used to get a TON of thrash/death metal bands. Now, it seems, there might be a show about once every 6 months I'd want to see there. I've seen more shows outside of Cincinnati (Dayton, Huntington, Louisville and Lexington) in the last 2 or 3 years.

Yonder is a damn good show, same with Greensky.

I personally am “meh” on Phish. I love their instrumentals, especially when they veer toward the funk side. But Trey’s nonsensical lyrics are hard for me to overcome

I saw the stones perform this number in 1965 in dayton ohio. this is from the t.a.m.i.(teenage music international) show in 1964, which featured many of the most popular performers in that era. it’s interesting to look at the kids in this audience as they are what kids actually looked like back then. hard to believe that jagger and the band were many times referred to then as “nasty” “rolling uglies.” nowadays they would be clean cut conservative in appearance.
The t.a.m.i. show was shown on pbs a year or so ago and is well worth watching if you are a fan of music in that era. i actually saw the show at a drive in theater about 1966.

The Stones were in Foxboro earlier this year and Buffalo a few years ago, kick myself for not making a better effort to go and see them. Same with Seger. It was either scheduling or timing that prevented me from seeing them, wife's not a fan of big production concerts anymore.

As far as bigger bands ppl would know:

Kiss / Slaughter / Danger-Danger
(free ticket)

Metallilca / Corrison of Conformity

Metallica as headliner at "Blindmans Ball" in Stuttgart GE
w/M-Manson / Bush and others that I literally slept through

Blue Oyster Cult twice - Ventura Theater, CA

Black Sabbath - Tokyo's Nagano Sun Plaza
(prob loudest / most powerful sound of anyone I'd heard)

Jimmy Page-Robert Plant in Ames, IA
(No Quarter Tour - those old dudes put on a 3 hour show)

Jimmy Page-Robert Plat in Frankfurt, GE
(just a 4 piece / stripped down around 1999 timeframe)

Greg Allmän
Macon Theater, Macon GA

Slayer - Tokyo's Nagano Sun Plaza
~ 1994

Tommy Cash - Johnny's brother
I was in a band that opened up for him in the Nashville area around 1991....Brentwood maybe

Stone Temple Pilots / Perfect Circle
Tucson's "KFMA Days" 2018

I think I may have forgotten some Atlanta area concerts --

Regret not seeing Rush

Watching for @JDHoss list, which should take a whole page by itself. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lot of the bands I've seen, not many people have heard of except you, and it's been in small clubs or venues. I've got to where I'd rather do that then pay a small fortune to see a big act in a cavernous arena and need binoculars to see the stage.
