So the Commonwealth's Attorney wants to prosecute Powell for 'human trafficking'?
I'm sure UL would love to say under oath:
"The nerve of her, we would have never hired underage prostitutes. She said they were all over 18. They all had fake ID's"

Pitino fooled that guy. He tried to play it off in the presser like he had just been told about this ten minutes prior to speaking. He has known about the book for a month. McGee said he knew about the arrangement. Everyone that knows Rick knows he knew. If it was common knowledge at Minardi with security, it was common knowledge to Rick.

He thought he was safe at Porcini's. He thought they were safe at Minardi Hall. Pitino is an idiot.

This post is so eye opening and true that I don't know why it isn't mentioned a million times over. Pitino, Jurich, and numerous UL people have known about this for roughly a month as stated in the post. When the story broke the other night Pitino played it off like it was a shock to him. Why do people keep letting these UL *** clowns keep getting away with things like this again and again and again ? They are guilty and they need to be exposed.

Only heard him for a couple mins today and he was telling UL fans to respond to people talking about this by asking them if their school has had any scandal in it's past, and a few other comments which were obviously referring to UK. Such a shame that a UK grad has reduced himself to being a shill for Ricky 3 Stacks.

Samaki Walker, Nate Johnson, and Wiley Brown say hey.

This new article appears to really ramp things up in terms of support for the allegations: Cady: Powell's Claims 'Pretty Damn Credible'
The below paragraph is from this piece. What is the point of referencing that Cady was indicted, when the charges were eventually dropped and that work resulted in a Pulitzer? Other than to impugn his character, to make him look bad, what other agenda can be claimed?

"Cady was a part of a team of Indianapolis Star reporters that won the 1975 Pulitzer Prize for Local Investigative Specialized Reporting for its work exposing police corruption. Cady and fellow Star journalist William Anderson were indicted for attempting to bribe a policeman in late 1974 when they say they followed an informant to witness what he said would be police bribery. Instead, they were accused of having a hand in the bribe, though those charges were dropped by the prosecutor, who said "there is no evidence a crime has been committed." Cady has called the charges a "frame-up" job."

I don't think there was any "agenda" in mentioning that. In fact, if anything, it was an anti-Louisville agenda because Louisville fans have mentioned his arrest as a way to discredit him, yet as the article explains the police corruption ring that they took down tried to frame the journalists to save their own asses, but it didn't work. Also, his frame-up arrest is mentioned on his Amazon author profile, so it is fair game.

Uh yeah, that is what this is all about, at least from the NCAA angle. If someone buys a hooker for a player/recruit, it is no different than buying them a watch, cars, tattoos, etc. It is providing something to a student-athlete based on their position as a student-athlete. It is, of course, far worse here because we are not dealing with a booster--we are dealing with a coach. And we are not dealing with a watch or tattoos--we are dealing with hookers, drugs, and booze.

These "parties" had been going on for two years before Rick elevated McGee to the position of "head of basketball operations". Rick knew of the scheme at that time and was assured that as loyal L1C4nicate "ladies", their secret was safe.

Rick's egomania knows no bounds. Just like when he thought all the UK fans would still embrace him and he could unite our fan bases when he took the little brother job.

Sandusky had more morals than Pitino. He just had one mental flaw.

I really think Pitino sees himself as some kind of Godfather figure. The boss of the crime family known as UofL men's basketball. Look what surrounds this guy: adultery on a table in a restaurant with your henchman watching, secret abortions, payoffs to his ex-mistress that he married off to one of his cronies, extortion, testifying to the FBI, players dismissed, assaults, and now hookers for recruits and players. If you put it in a script for a movie it would sound ridiculous.

I guess I should clarify what I said earlier.

whether Pitino knows what was happening or not isn't the question, the question is - is there a direct link between McGee and Pitino to prove he knew it.

But I still believe that Pitino wasn't going to knowingly risk prostitution with recruits and players - especially when there are sororiety houses that would line up to Amtrak those guys
Strict liability says it doesn't matter.

Well, one things for sure, his recruiting is gonna really suffer no matter what happens. Even if he does survive this, he'll never get the kind of players he needs to be relevant ever again. What parent would want their son to play for him? He's done..

I liked what Bomani Jones had to say on Matt Jones' show today....

* A huge part of whether Pitino survives this depends on his record this year. He loses 10 or more games and flames out early in March, he's toast. He takes them to another Elite Eight or better, they can't fire him.

If he makes it to the start of the season, I agree.

"There was something of a falling out, it seems, when Powell says she was asked to begin providing white girls for U of L parties."

The whole reasoning of this exposure revolves around this sentence. Repeat: The whole reasoning of this exposure revolves around this sentence.

There is another contact if true involved here. You done gone and did it for lack of a better term.

I mean.....this whole thing is textbook, isn't it?

"Their work expressed what happens when human existence has no meaning or purpose and therefore all communication breaks down, in fact alerting their audiences to pursue the opposite. Logical construction and argument gives way to irrational and illogical speech and to its ultimate conclusion, silence."

"The Absurd in these plays takes the form of man’s reaction to a world apparently without meaning, and/or man as a puppet controlled or menaced by invisible outside forces. Though the term is applied to a wide range of plays, some characteristics coincide in many of the plays: broad comedy, often similar to Vaudeville, mixed with horrific or tragic images; characters caught in hopeless situations forced to do repetitive or meaningless actions; dialogue full of clichés, wordplay, and nonsense; plots that are cyclical or absurdly expansive; either a parody or dismissal of realism and the concept of the "well-made play"."

a few things.

i hope they look into ul's campus police in this investigation. my cousin lived in cardtown apartments and said they were scared on a few nights and called the police and they would show up and slap fives and leave all while people were standing around drinking and smoking. she had a scholly to ul and left that place and had to pay out of pocket. $300/month was better than living there for free.

rick needs to apologize to UK fans for bringing us up in this mess. jesus dude, we have families. dont drag us into your hell.

what the hell kind of name is smrt? i don't like him on last name spelling alone. might as well be grbac or baals.

THIS is exhibit 1,267,893 of the absurdity of the whole thing. The 2 guys who think they are the smartest in the room (Jurich and Pitino) have hired a guy whose family can't spell Smart to outthink a hooker.

Now, it would have taken ENORMOUS cahones to hire someone named Baals to clean up a hooker scandal...

Anyone believe for one second that U of L wont tamper with video security footage and dorm sign in logs?

Can I get a picture/photo shop of the logs and the surveillance footage as you know it will be presented to investigators?
