I am still here and I am a man of my word. I saw where Howie pretty much conceded that this happened and as I said yesterday, he needs to be removed from the radio and his position with the rivals site. He provides a lot of what we think is good information to us fans and if he can't be trusted, he doesn't need to be involved in reporting. He flat out said that nothing happened and it seems he was wrong. I don't like to be lied to and I will find it hard to trust him from here on out. He needs to go in my opinion.

I haven't heard anything from John Ramsey yet but he was convinced yesterday that nothing happened. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and time today to provide an explanation of where he's at. He may have some proof that this didn't happen that we haven't seen or thought of yet. If so, I will rethink my stance. If he concedes that this happened as well, he also needs to be removed in my opinion.

I still hold true on my opinion that this is not a subject worthy of being made fun of by the rival fan base. Being that minors were involved and this is such a sick and twisted story, anyone taking joy in this story is a sick SOB. Plain and simple. I am not running and hiding from this and stand by what I've said.

Well, it's not entirely improbable. The NCAA already knows what they need to know. They could have threatened the kid to tell them it happened or he would lose his eligibility. Obviously he wants to play so he tells them what they want to hear. Is it likely? I don't know but it is possible.

I am not happy that the University of Louisville put these minors into such a horrific situation. No one could celebrate that.

I am, however, thrilled that they are being called out for it and will likely have to pay a HUGE price for doing so.

Wonder if any of this went on while Rick was coaching at UK?
No strippers or escorts that I ever saw.. I was around him at UK..drove Jo Anne and kids around .and he was a Womanizer always asking strange women in restaurants to call him for a drink..A Leopard doesn't change his spots..

No, he told the truth because it's the right thing to do. Why do uofl fans live in this delusion. You all destroy the character of every kid that doesn't go to uofl, that they must be cheating, now you destroy the character of any kid who comes forward about your program....typical pathetic card fan behavior

I sort of thought perhaps this latest revelation from Lyle would open some more bird-brained eyes.

I was wrong.

Is it at all possible that he has had enough of these shenanigans??!?!?!?!?

Or is he just going to continue the deflect, ignore facts, twist facts, attack the messengers, etc. type of approach that UL has taken from the beginning?

I can't take one look at Ramsey without thinking that he is in on it and has been for a long time! Until now, Athletics is one of the few things they could actually take a little bit of pride in.

Meh, the statement doesn't say one way or the other what his support of Pitino is. Pitino is a notch down the chain of command from Jurich. Jurich calls the shots in the athletic department over there and if Jurich supports Pitino then by default Ramsey does too.

Okay, that's your opinion. The internet you want is hateful while trying to be funny. My internet communicates with others in a civil manner. (Bully you)
That is my opinion and I don't need some rolling graphic to express it.
I bet you're a lot of fun to be around.

Don't be naive. It is EXTREMELY improbable. It's not impossible, grant you, but it makes no sense whatsoever to tell the kid "lie or we'll punish you."

LOL. He told the truth because if they find out he lied and DID get the ul treatment, he'd definitely be ineligible. But you keep telling yourself everything will be ok.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Indeed. When Ramsey starts letting Rick write his statements then they'll include support for Rick. Thats all we should take away from this.

My diehard UL friend says it's all a lie. When asked for a reason he just said she wants money.

Well duh, UL has been filling her pockets for the last 4 years. She needs that income, baby.

Scenario I see playing out. If Pitino resigns, Ralph Willard will take over as interim coach. Louisville may try to get ahead of the NCAA by self-imposing some penalties like banning themselves from the NCAA tourney (which they are probably a bubble team at best for anyway) and take away a couple of scholarships for the next year or two.

Deflect, deflect, deflect...Dont make this about the "minors" to absolve your collective conscious about the central issue. Speaking strictly for myself I am taking the UTMOST JOY in loservile's demise. If laughing at little brother's moral, ethical and athletic ineptitude is wrongggggggggggga, I don't wanna be rightttttttttttttttttttta.

"Coach Pitino has nothing to do with this and will not be fired. I personally believe the reason we don't get the top recruits is because he's not cheating. Pitino will retire from here when he is ready... If you don't believe it, ask Tom Jurich....."

Ask your friend how much he thinks she can make selling a $10 ebook. She probably makes more in a weeks work at ul.

The alternative (also the truth) is much harder for them to swallow. They are cheating to get recruits, they're cheating the city out of millions to have a world class arena, their cheating coach is a hall of fame member and they still can't get recruits.
