It probably isn't because embellishments make for better sales. But there's very much a core of this that is true and you can see that in the fact that neither Pitino nor Jurich have outright denied anything. But attacking her character, or lack thereof, doesn't really serve your argument well. For one thing, the fact that she's basically put all her business out there shows she's not afraid of anyone digging anything up on her. What's left to dig up? For another, she co-authored with a renowned investigative journalist who took down the Indianapolis police and published through a long established business.
Probably some of UL alums trying to pay their way out of this with some old fashioned 8 balling.

Same with the texts, and then the money order receipt. Instead, she seems to have laid most everything out on the line.
I have zero respect for this woman, but facts are facts, and at this point, it sure looks like she has plenty of those. At least enough to show a U of L coach was paying her and her girls to "entertain" basketball players and recruits.

Pitino's scandal was on his own time and I'm sure the Sypher stuff crossed this woman's mind and why she thinks she can get away with this. The point is, it already has happened. Since it has, I want to see them get hammered for it. If everything checks out, and I think it will, then I would rank this scandal as second only to Sandusky in the entire history of the NCAA.
Penn State did A LOT wrong, but when they fully realized what had happened, they took steps to completely clean house. That was barely enough to save them from the death penalty.
If UL takes the opposite approach and tries to pretend it never happened and everything is business as usual (as many of their fans are doing), they open themselves up to getting demolished by the NCAA. Given how they have behaved and are continuing to behave, I have to admit, that is something I would love to see.
