UofL has issues at many levels... From the President down.... The NCAA calls it "institutional control"... But the NCAA hasn't the balls to move on this... The NCAA really does have a field of sacred cows.... Pitino is a HOF Coach... No way the NCAA comes down on him...Why he's a personal friend of Dick Vitale (babeeee) ... No way the NCAA want it's b-ball product lessened in $$$ value... It's all about the money and if we know anything it's that UofL comes up with the money...Somehow....

Mods, time to take out the trash. The idiot cardzcoah on their board:

"UK is just thrilled with this book garbage hoping the NCAA will forget about Skal but don't worry big blue, they'll find that stack of cash PayCal passed though soon enough."

So why believe she's even a prostitute then or that she pimps out her daughters if you refuse to believe anything else she says?

Its all the same talking points and not a single UL fan has a good answer on why prostitutes were in the Dorm, why one had her hand on Chane's crotch while he smiles and waves and why Blakeney remembers the other from embassy suites. Why would a pulitzer winner take on this assignment without doing research and discovering at least some of what she claims is true?

Two unbiased people researched this, Cady and the FBI 3rd party guy... They have no beef with UL.

I have always wondered why a kid would take a visit to UL, knowing he was signing with another school. Now I know.

The reality is that college basketball just isn't that big of a news maker any longer.

There is no doubt that this is a huge story amongst those that follow college basketball. Just don't expect it to dominant national conversations over NFL, college football and the MLB playoffs.

It should become bigger news, once the Superbowl is over, and there is no MLB, NFL, or College Football. That is also about the time that a lot of the investigation should be completed, or in full swing, which is ok with me. I want this to drag out for a couple of years, before they get nailed.

Bottom line: If the allegations werent true, every player, coach, administrator named would be suing for defamation. They arent. That tells you all you need to know. They havent even offered an actual denial yet.

That is very true. He wasn't.

Both cases potentially involve sex acts with minors though. The Sandusky case is much more disturbing, but I would rank this one #2.

In terms of social/legal implications, the Sandusky case was way worse. In terms of amateurism and the NCAA, I think this case is worse.

Sandusky wasnt sleeping with kids to get them to sign with Penn St. Louisville was using underage women to perform sexual acts in hopes that underage men to sign with their basketball program.

No they wouldn't, she barely has anything. It isn't worth the time in the headlines or risk of ridiculous attorney fees. Getting a judgment against someone is pretty easy. Getting your money is the tough part.

Some of you chuckleheads need to stop sucking off the Louisville trolls. This thread used to be about making fun of Louisville. Now it's wading through three guys purposely egging you guys into the most tedious arguments that they don't even believe.

I think we're here just trying to defend Louisville. I remember when the Bledsoe stuff happened, there were hoards of UK fans on our board defending their school to what they thought were false allegations. We're just doing the same thing. I can't say definitively it didn't happen but the story this woman is throwing out has so many holes in it, if it were cheese I would put it on a sandwich.

So wait, how come when UK supposedly did something, and big difference, all of that took place outside of UK..it was true..but this, ahh no way it was? Again, this is the culture of your school. Sleaze.

Very rarely does anyone sue for defamation with the expectation of money judgments., because damages are tough to prove and the defendants are usually judgment proof. They do it to make a point. The point being - that person is lying. Those suits are filed fairly often in situations like these.

Problem is, it doesnt work when the person telling the story is telling the truth.

That story was weak and nothing more than a smear tactic from the beginning.

If you cant see this story is legit, then youre just being willfully ignorant. Noone knows if its ALL true. But shes already proven its at least mostly true.

You do see celebrities do this now and then against a company, but none of the people involved in this would want to expose themselves to long term attention or the power that comes to each side once the suit is filed. Just won't happen, regardless of whether or not the book is true.

Would you put the cheese on a fried chicken sandwich? Asking for a friend.

More importantly, they dont want to get in a situation where discovery is required, and witnesses are testifying under oath.

Let me ask a question, if this happened at Kentucky would it shake your fandom?

I have to ask because Sunday I was at the Zoo for their Halloween festivities and saw several people wearing Louisville shirts, I myself would be too disgusted to where my blue in public. I then noticed several kids who where dressed as players from lil' brothel and I was thoroughly disgusted that parents would let them in public in that get up.

Until this is resolved and the administration fired I would hide and only watch games by myself.

That's true she probably hasn't got much. BUT, the book publishing company has.

No, I along with other UK fans would demand a cleaning of house!

I would still be a UK fan, just not a fan of THAT regime!

I've thought about this quite a bit, and I definitely wouldn't give up my fandom either.

I would be demanding a thorough investigation, and if the claims proved to be true, then I would be joining you in a call for a complete overhaul of the program.

Their fan base's enabling of their leadership is one of the main factors that has allowed them to get into this mess in the first place. Sure seems like they haven't learned their lesson though and are bound and determined to keep up that enabling no matter the price.

I'm sure those slimy spin-masters will find a way for Pitino to ride off into the sunset like a legend instead how it really ended. Then, hordes of UL sheep will buy it hook, line, and sinker and celebrate him forever.

They will say he was a victim of McGee. He was innocent of everything but he was such a great person that he decided to resign in order to save the program. (I just threw up a little just typing that)

Ul fans can say they love Rick but every time I'm out watching games they are screaming about the lack of offense and how boring their games are to watch. The '12 & '13 seasons saved him from the fans turning on him back then but the call-ins were gold.
