I wonder if the former player who spoke up was one of the white dudes who didn't get invited to the party. He said he just walked in on it because it was loud. Saw what he saw then left. Who knows what happened after he left?

Also escorts are only out for the $$. They are typically on the clock 24/7 meaning they don't just show up anywhere but CVS or Walgreens without being paid to be there.

After the kid got murdered at Baylor, and Dave Bliss lied to everybody, Scott Drew took the job.

At the time, Drew had been head coach at Valpo for a year, and was around 32 years old.

So I think UL gets somebody like that. Someone a notch below an up and comer who can afford to take 5 years to have success.

I think it will go this way because I don't think Jurich survives this either. And whoever the new AD is - that person is going to have to act like UL has other priorities besides sports - at least for a little while.

I might be dreaming of course.

This is my thought on it as well. They will end up having to run it clean under a Dooley type basketball hire for a while.

You guys have a lot more trust in that UL Board of Trustees than I do.

Also it should be noted Kerry Rhodes is an idiot in his first post. Hiring Adult Entertainment during a recruiting visit IS a NCAA violation. It doesn't matter if they're strippers, hookers or dominatrices or even who hired them. (covering all the bases since Louisville is so slimy). If a recruit comes to your campus on an official visit and is exposed to adult entertainment its a violation.

Hell its even in their Student Host handbook

http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools..._non_event/compl-12-student_host_brochure.pdf

I have a friend who's child had full ride scholarship to UL. Just graduated within the last year. She said her child would host recruits. (another UL sport, not basketball). My friend said the NCAA restrictions were so tight. She said she could not even be with her child the weekend that they were hosting a recruit. NCAA feels a parent is basically a booster, and that is not allowed.

So if the NCAA is this tight on recruiting visits with parents, I think prostitutes, strippers or even "lingerie models" is going to be a violation. Cards fans need to quit trying to parse fine details. Gist of this is true, and UL will have to throw Pitino and possibly Jurich under the bus to save the program. UL fans should be somewhat encouraged, that this is probably all that will happen. Maybe a one season postseason ban, which will probably be in a year when UL isnt going to make a deep run in the tourney anyway. And a few scholly restrictions.

And you gotta think the NCAA is still kind of hurt over the whole Cliff Hurt, Teddy Bridgewater, Neil Shapiro issue. So UL is going to get threatened with the death penalty if they don't clean house.

I cant believe any of you guys think Pitino didnt know about this or better yet orchestrate it??? Cmon...4 years this is happening and he didnt know...you guys are smarter than that. If he didnt know its the worst case of lack of institutional control on planet.
Yea, either he knew, didn't know or he didn't want to know. Any way you slice it he is guilty of being a complete and total idiot who has no business running a bball program. This went on waaaaay too long to see it any other way.

Not a chance and that's wishful thinking. I think if anything in this matter is crystal clear is that he had no knowledge of this what so ever. The more that comes out the more this just sounds like college kids having some fun and throwing around some money. The girls sound more like friends than "professionals". I mean they were in swimsuits for goodness sakes. I am beginning to think this was even less than I thought yesterday. Still probably not in the best test but it's just college kids having fun.

Perjurino, you truly are the gift that keeps on giving!

Gonna be kinda boring until new info comes to light and/or Louisville admits to some violations.
Not sure if it's 100% true or not, but according to Jones news will break that another recruit corroborated Katina's story. I'm assuming said recruit is Blakeney.

He denied everything the first time the NCAA talked to him, but after Lyle snitched, the NCAA supposedly talked to him again today. Guess we'll see soon enough.

Could any lawyers out there give us a list of the possible charges a prosecutor could file against UL based on if what we know is true?
Most, if not all, attorneys will not be able to discuss this on social media or a board - UofL (like UK) hires many firms for many different things.

While I totally understand where you're coming from, I remember what Kentucky was before Pitino got here and what he did for this university. I will forever be grateful for that and I will still have some respect for him because of it. Coach Pitino doesn't have hate for Kentucky, I'm sure just the opposite. He has always said he made a mistake in leaving and I truly hope he will be welcomed back once he retires.

I am old enough to remember those times with Sutton, but young enough to remember idolizing Coach Pitino and his teams at UK. I just dreamed that I would be good enough to play at UK for Coach Pitino.

In saying that, I do disagree with a lot of what's happened to him these past few years. I hated to see his image and most Kentucky fans image of him go down the tubes.
I agree with this post, especially the part about Pitino and what he did for us, after probation. One thing, though, that needs mentioning is the arrogance Rick had when he returned to UofL. I truly think he thought he could come back to the state of Kentucky and be loved by all, even though he came to our most despised rival - that takes arrogance. I remember his first statement the night of press-conference, he said something to the effect of giving donations to a children's hospital and not asking if the patients were "Wildcats or Cardinals", what a bs comment that was. He also mentioned that he confided with UK fans and they were fine with him coming to UofL - of course, those fans were Seth Hancock and other rich cats, not the average UK fan. Even Bob Ryan and Tony Kornheiser mocked his arrogance - so, he's made his bed with UK fans, sleep in it Rick.

Let's look at last Friday. Pitino is there for the press conference, Jurich is not. Afterward, Jurich leaves Raleigh to "talk to the recruits". This is very important. I believe that it wasn't U of L that fed this to Forde, but Pitino. Forde breaks the news, saying there was no proof Pitino knew about it, and suddenly Jurich has to scrambe to do this PC via phone and hop on a plane either that night or the next morning, even though they knew about it for a month.

Then six days later the president mentions Jurich but not Pitino. Then Pitino goes on his buddy's radio show and throws McGee under the bus.

Pitino's departure is already being discussed. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Is UL relevant enough to make the cover of S.I.?
I'm not sure if a lot of you live outside of KY, but once you leave the state, NOBODY cares about Louisville. I live in Florida and SC, and I can't find anyone that cares or follows UL sports. Most people don't even know who Pitino coaches for.

I'm not sure Louisville is a big enough name for anyone to care about reading a story about hooker-gate.

What should strike a chord is that Lyle who is obviously just telling the truth, is vilified and harassed by Cardinals village.

No.no,no. According to UL fans, Lyles' comments about Powell's book representing the "gist" of events doesn't mean anything.

What UL fans don't realize is that Lyles didn't want to make a full statement to the NCAA until he read the book. He (Lyles) just wanted to 'gest make sure that Powell gave him some 'cred. Like Rozier being "well-endowed" and Blackshear being a "freak" who likes threesomes.

Once he realizes that Powell presented him in a "masculine" way, he will reveal even more about the recruitment parties. Same as Blakeney will once the NCAA starts asking questions.

I'm sure his attorney has advised him not to...but there are a few odd things here...there has been no mention of the local lville media trying to contact him, which is not surprising but wouldn't happen elsewhere. 2. If nothing happened, wouldn't you address this in a statement?

Oh, Louisville, you just keep the comedy coming. The university has issued a 1,116-word response to the Sports Illustrated article, taking the stance that UofL is an exemplary model for gender equity in college sports. This released on the same day of the news of the Kentucky State Supreme Court's ruling against Tom Jurich for his vile, sexist treatment of the female track coach.

"Under the guidance of Vice President and Director of Athletics Tom Jurich, UofL has been an exemplary program in gender equity..."

Pitino might get whacked, if for no other reason, than to save Jurich. The football program is winning, women's basketball and volleyball is winning, baseball is winning...none of those programs hired hookers (that we know about). They're getting ready to expand Papa John's. Fire Pitino and U of L can say "we got rid of the man who was in charge of all that" while keeping their most prized commodity.

I wonder if the former player who spoke up was one of the white dudes who didn't get invited to the party.

I wrote a post about this about 50 pages ago. But since you brought it up in rather "down to earth" language, I'm going to discuss it again.

What will it mean if it can be determined that only black recruits / "kids" were exposed to this immoral, traumatizing process of sexual exploitation and delinquency? In my book that would imply a destructive component of racism not to be believed. If none of the white recruits / "kids" were subjected to prostitutes then exactly why not? Why were they "protected" from this vulgar, immoral, traumatizing process and not the black recruits / "kids"? Does the University of Louisville make the assumption going in the black recruits / "kids" do not arrive with a starter kit of virtues and innocence equal to white recruits / "kids" and, therefore, exposure to the horrid process for THEM is OK, but not for the white ones? THIS is a crucially important question that must not be avoided, must be answered. I demand for it to be made certain that the black recruits / "kids" were not racially violated by exposing only THEM to this immoral, traumatizing process.

Internal football player assault where players eye socket is broken...comes out in the media months afterwards.

In like 2010 I think a baseball player murdered a football player..might need to verify that.

Yum center scam on taxpayers
dont leave out the part where a coach told him to lie to paramedics about how his eye socket was broken so it would avoid getting police involved.

Weren't they kinda grooming his son Richard Pitino to eventually take over. What he is a Minn. now doing halfway decent. But they might want to whole Pitino family out of it.
