in all honesty as bad as this situation is, both Jurich and Pitino need to be fired
Jurich is the Captain of the ship
Pitino is the first mate
both should be held accountable

it's speculation but as mentioned... the timeline and facts seem to add up to the ncaa knowing more about this than we thought they knew... either that or they just believed the book with no proof.hmm, hadn't heard all that yet......is this all speculation or is there truth to it? If so........wow
Billy Donovan just took a good NBA job, and it's obvious that this was his ultimate goal. Louisville will try to make a splash. They might inquire about Donovan, but he would be out of his mind to leave a good NBA job to insert himself into the mess in Louisville. They may inquire on Gregg Marshall and Mike Brey, but those guys would be nuts to leave their current jobs for Louisville under these circumstances. They may inquire about Kenny Payne, but I don't see how that can work now. And this is their problem. Louisville has a proud basketball tradition, but this scandal will trash it. Pitino will be forced out in disgrace. I don't see how Jurich can survive. But if Jurich does survive, the taint of scandal will remain. And if he doesn't survive, then there will be a lot more uncertainty in the situation their next coach must accept. Either way, the stature of the Louisville head coaching job is about to take a big hit. They will have to offer a huge amount of money and security as an incentive to snare their next coach. They either have to catch a rising star with a clean slate, or they have to bring in a veteran with a big rep who will accept the challenge of the cleanup. In the latter case, they might even have to offer the AD and head basketball coach jobs to the same guy. I don't overestimate the pull of the Louisville job under these circumstances. I don't know who will agree to put themselves in the middle of a mess like this, but it could be someone looking for a fresh start.I would have said Billy Donovan if he hadn't left for the NBA, but now who knows.
Buzz Williams would get a hard look...and maybe Bobby Hurley due to Addidas connections.
The NCAA is coming............

carrie keagens best moment ever.
and i was talking about billy donlon of wright state not billy donovan. he'll be in the top 3 i'd bet money on it.
that's like a commendation medal with two oak leaf clusters. salute.Just got blacklisted at their site for the third time. All I did was tell them that it is logical to assume Pitino is in trouble, and they called me names and I didn't respond.
You have the fight me for #2 Ben when it comes to hating Lil Brother.Keightley rated them above " smelly sox"All I know is that Mr. Keightly is in heaven and smiling, while watching this unfold for his beloved Cardinals. He may have been the only person that hated them more than I do, and I am not completely convinced that he may have been #1, and me #2, rather than the other way around.
True, but at least in part that's just a reflection of the stature of the two programs. Everything UK does is big news - ESPN seems like a UK infomercial. People in Louisville like to pretend they are near equals, and they simply aren't. National interest is one way they aren't equals. If not for Louisville's run from 2011-2014, they're DePaul..We all know if it were UK at the heart of all this they would have an extra non-stop crawler at the bottom of the screen constantly running blurbs about the allegations and latest developments.
Hard to take ESPN seriously as a news organization when they have so conveniently overlooked Dook, UNC and now UofL's scandals. But, a story comes out about Skal not being cleared by the NCAA and they run that across the bottom of the screen every two minutes.
?..We aren't losing our jobs and Humana isn't going anywhere after the acquisition....
?..As far as Humana, Aetna wants your medicare business in which you scammed the majority of seniors in KY in to forfeiting their traditional medicare to take your advantage plans that covers nothing. No reason to make personal comments because your butthurt. Aetna will probably divest humana in the coming years keeping what they want....

Mick Cronin is outraged....says no way Pitino knew...grain of salt but news nonetheless
or should I say the UL recruiting manual? Plenty of violations, and illegal activity to go around. I do not see how they cannot lower the boom on UL, and not sure if Rick survives this. McGee may be indicted. Let me list the different illegal tactics noted in the book.
1. Sex for recuits and fathers
2. Money to the recruits, to give to dancers/hookers
3. Tickets traded for sex
4. Providing alcohol for recruits
5. Providing minors with alcohol
6. Trafficing in sex with and for minors
One thing that really stuck out was when she talked about how a lot of these boys were inexperienced and felt uncomfortable having relations with these hookers, and yet they felt pressured into it, because they didn't want to appear "soft". She spoke about how they hid one kid, who was in a bedroom with 2 girls, from his mother. She also talked about a "party" with a cop, so I guess we see how it was investigated. Talked about how they lured Rozier to UL, with sex, at least I am assuming, since it was Terry from Cleveland. This is a great read, and you will enjoy it. After all is said and done, there will be plenty of retribution for all the athletic dept. What a deserving bunch.
Let's just be real though, the only reason Forde broke the story is because PITINO knew it was gonna happen one way or another so he might as well be the one.
Yea they gave me my yearly banning also.Just got blacklisted at their site for the third time. All I did was tell them that it is logical to assume Pitino is in trouble, and they called me names and I didn't respond.
What happened?
Pitino and Jurich were receiving complaints from recruit’s parents about the sex parties hosted and paid for by McGee. Stories were confirmed and in April, 2014 they shipped McGee of to UMKC who is coached by a former Pitino assistant. They’ve spent the last 18 months trying to cover it up until Katina Powel surfaced.
The book’s accelerated publishing date resulted in the shame-faced press conference the day before the book came out and it’s been blow after blow since then.
What's next?
As the NCAA interviews more recruits and their families it will all come out. Having had their kids subjected to this filth they won’t hesitate to tell their stories. With 22 sex parties over 4 years there are hundreds of witnesses. This will lead to exposing the cover up, the money trail and more.
The truth will become overwhelming and UL will be buried in a smut avalanche. The NCAA will give UL the death penalty and Ramsey, Jurich and Pitino will all be fired.
The YUM Center will be turned into the biggest strip joint east of the Mississippi and will finally start to turn a profit.
An independent Louisville affiliate has hired a law firm to review an escort's allegations that former men's basketball staffer Andre McGee hired dancers to strip and have sex with recruits and players.
The University of Louisville Foundation announced the hiring Thursday of the Stites & Harbison law firm. The foundation invests donations to the university.
Louisville President James Ramsey also said Thursday he "fully" supports longtime athletic director Tom Jurich "as we work to identify the facts in this situation." Ramsey reiterated the school has hired former NCAA enforcement official Chuck Smrt to lead the athletic department's investigations in Katina Powell's book, "Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen."
Cronin was here two years 2001-2003. Cmon CJ. These allegations were 7tears after he left.
In before the merge.
