I think the exchange you are referring to is when Katina asked Andre if Rick knew, his smiling reply was "Rick knows everything".

She thought and said the same thing as well...

Katina Powell, author of “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen,” dropped by CBS Sports Radio on Wednesday to discuss the most controversial journal in college athletics. Powell, a former escort, claims she participated in nearly two dozen stripper parties at Louisville’s Billy Minardi Hall from 2010 to 2014. She said that the shows, which allegedly included sex, were paid for by former Louisville graduate assistant Andre McGee.

“I had already did a show at Minardi Hall and then I was introduced to Andre,” Powell recalled on CBS Sports Radio’s The Doug Gottlieb Show. “And then Andre asked me would I be interested in coming back (and) doing more shows for recruits, and I said yes. It was fun at the beginning. It was a nice experience to get to meet the players and have fun, introduce the girls to players and to make money. It was fun in the beginning. But it started to be just a little too overbearing toward the end. Andre and whoever Coach Mike is started asking for things that were just ridiculous. They wanted white girls with big butts and breasts that could do tricks. They wanted Asian girls. It was beginning to be too much what they were asking for. The demands was too high.”

Powell, whose daughters also performed at Minardi Hall, believes Rick Pitino knew about the parties.

That’s just my opinion,” she said. “Also, Andre telling me that Rick knew. I mean, those were his words out of his mouth. When I asked him did Pitino know, he said, ‘Rick knows everything.’ So those were the words out of Andre’s mouth himself.”

We should start a pool on when the next Louisville basketball related scandal will occur. I would just say a Louisville related scandal, but we are all aware of the corruption that spreads through the entire University.

[QUOTE="PushupMan, post: 5270700, member: 86" I remember quite vividly Clint Hurtt getting his show-cause penalty for what happened at Miami.[/QUOTE]

this is a perfect example of just how corrupt UL athletics is
did you ever ask yourself why did UL keep paying Hurtt after he got a show-cause penalty from his time at the "U"?
i would guess that it was hush money

I assumed we kept paying him because he was a great defensive line coach for us. Although not related to the topic of Katina Powell, linked below is an interesting take from a Texas football writer about Clint Hurtt.

he was not allowed to coach at UL while UL was paying him
had he been coaching at UL then they would have had to receive his "show cause" punishment

so UL payed a coach with a "show cause" penalty to sit at home...........yup that makes perfect sense

They try to stay relevant by taking trash that is morally blacklisted, people that no one wants for obvious reasons. If they don't, they sink.

According to the NCAA's own rules...athletes receiving impermissible benefit are NOT eligible to compete. This is not up for debate, those are the NCAA rules. Tard fans can twist and spin it all they like but, the fact remains that UofHell players received impermissible benefits from 2010-2014 INCLUDING during their Championship season.
Again, if the NCAA follows its own rules, the 2013 UofHell banner MUST come down. There is simply no other resolution.
Doesn't matter who knew or didn't know. It doesn't matter where it happened or why. All that matters is that whores were paid for by a member of the UofHell coaching staff, for the benefit of players and recruits.

Is there anything that says a certain $ amount must be met to cause eligibility to be forfeited? Cause thats what they are rallying now that the $5,400 wasnt enough

if i remember correctly
the only time the amount matters is in cases like Wall's where the player is allowed to play but must sit out some games
i think the amount of money dictates the amount of games they have to sit
i think it maxes out at about 1/3 of the season

Yeah, but does 'Pooh cat' constitute an impermissible benefit? :) I think UL may have set a precedent.

$5400 isn't even close to what was paid to Katina and the Whores. It's simply the amount the NCAA could substantiate with proof in their investigation.
The ENTIRE UofL athletic program is dirty from the top down at every single level. They've been caught with about 1/10th of the stuff really going on in that cesspool. Since there is no way to retroactively suspend the players that benefited from Whoregate, the banner MUST come down!

John Walls issue happened before he got to college. Louisville's problem is the extra benefits provided to player while at college. Really with that many parties its a pattern of violations.

Card Fans are among the most idiotic people I've ever ran across, they actually think that $5400 spent on "Improper Benefits" that include paying for minor high school recruits to have sex with hookers isn't enough to get them in trouble, but the NCAA is going to hang the dirty redbirds out to dry .
No self respecting school would keep a coach with as many scandals as Pitino has had at UL,while they all spew poor Rick didn't know it was all McGee's fault, everyone with common sense knows that both Jurich and Pitino knew. They would keep Jerry Sandusky if they thought they would win games with him.
UL = No Morals,No Shame,Win at all costs, and brag about Lying,Cheating,Stealing,Raping, and all the other Felonies committed by the President,Board of Trustees,Athletic Director,Coaches,Players, and Fans.
Sick,Sick bunch over there in Louisville and the local media is as guilty for covering up all the wrong doing as those that do it.They deserve to lose the 2013 Championship, the 2012 Final Four, and every win with ineligible players from 2010 to 2014.

Anyone have any knowledge of Pitino knocking up a UL cheerleader? Just heard about it yesterday - apparently it happened about 4 years ago and said cheerleader is now cozily employed by UL. I'm not trying to start a rumor - just trying to confirm or deny what someone else said.

Not a bad pay off for less than 20 seconds of work. Someone had to say it.
