What UL did is hideous. How they aren't being sued by the families is strange. They deserve to be punished hard and have to sit out of the tourney and stripped of their ill gotten title

Good point about lawsuits. Maybe the Foundation audit will uncover some hush money. They certainly liked to pay it to outgoing administrators.

Grand jury declines to indict Katina Powell and Andre McGree

By Drew Franklin on ©May 25th, 2017 @ 6:05pm

And now for a follow-up to WDRB’s story from earlier this morning… The Louisville grand jury has decided not to indict Katina Powell and Andre McGee on criminal charges.

From WDRB update:

The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office determined there was not the “legally required independent corroboration of the allegations” made in Powell’s book, “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen,” to justify recommending an indictment.

In a statement, Commonwealth’s Attorney Tom Wine said that “in the final analysis there is not sufficient credible evidence assembled to support bringing criminal charges against these individuals.”

In a press conference, Wine told reporters that while additional information may develop, “we don’t see that on the horizon right now.”

Turns out, Katina cannot be prosecuted based on what’s out there right now, which is good because we are #TeamKatina around here.

Now let’s get to the good stuff and hear all about those NCAA sanctions coming for Louisville................. http://kentuckysportsradio.com/main/grand-jury-declines-to-indict-katina-powell-and-andre-mcgree/

Well the NCAA just got a way out of punishing UofL. If there not enough evidence for a grand jury, then there isn't enough evidence for them.

Huge difference in breaking laws and breaking rules. They will get punished.

This should have zilch to do with how colleges are governed by the NCAA. Its a good thing James Comey isn't head of the NCAA, huh?

Loss of wins, loss of bench coach (15 games) for 'knowing' this was going on for 4 years, pay for your mistakes with NCAA tournament $$, and the potential to take down that banner!

Here's a question that has probably been asked before considering how long this conversation has been: When this trips 1,000,000 views, will the "1" show? Or will it get stuck at 999,999?

Just a reminder, UofL had multiple coaches procuring underage hookers for underage recruits in their own dorm for half a decade

"Half a decade" sounds SO much better than "five years." Hell, let's call it a 20th of a century!

I thought today was the day that the Foundation Audit was supposed to be released?
June 6th
You know that June 6th was D-Day. Lets hope that this June 6th will be UL's D-Day. In this case lets hope the D stands for DOOMSDAY.

I'm getting impatient! When is the hammer gonna drop!? I'm guessing Friday around noon is when the news will hit.

If this doesn't happen to UL's BB program vvvv then the NCAA serves no purpose and needs to be dismantled.
