as a joke I said that I would pass out little loaves of bread.
When I was a kid, there was a person in my neighborhood that would hand out little loaves of bread on Halloween.

The costumes kids wear today seem more than a century away from what they were 40 to 45 years ago. We used to have these awful costumes with these cheap face mask, the band would break 10 seconds after you put it on and you'd walk around without the mask all night. Inflatable dinosaurs and inflatable bears.... Much better costumes.
