The hat kind of makes me sad...more people work at Arby's in this state than mine coal!

Tell me more about this coal miner's hat. Is this some sort of idea they stole from their Va Tech cousins, who do the lunchbox thing, or more like Miami, who does the Mister T type chain around their neck? Has to be a copy of somebody else, because originality isn't in the cousin's wheelhouse.
Yeah, they hijacked the concept from Hokie High and Miami. I guess it was designed to be a tribute to the toughness of underground coal miners which as we all know was very dangerous and tough work. However, deep surface mining has kind of gone the way of professional whaling in this country. Sad turn of events for a guy like myself from Eastern Kentucky who went to school in West Virginia.
