Remember the fourth and short? We decided to go for it. The run resulted in a 3 yard lost as ALL of Vanderbilt's linemen were in our backfield. In his postgame talk Beamer said, "We let a guy get through. We can't do that. We've got to be better." It's very hard for him to say how bad the offensive line is. How do you motivate college football players? If it was me, I'd probably get all those offensive lineman in a room and run film of that play again and again and again. But what do I know?

Did any of us fans think we would get that 1st down if we attempted to run the ball up the middle? I didn't. I wasn't surprised a bit that it went for a 3 yard loss.

It's terrible that the OL is terrible.
But it's even worse that our staff seems to call plays not realizing OL is terrible.

This is what baffles me. At some point, you would think the coaches just accept reality about the OL and start trying to adjust play calling accordingly. But they just keep calling plays as if the OL can block.
