I thought it was pretty lame that he ignored her when she asked if he wanted to shake hands. But then he has proven many times over that he can't stand unattractive or powerful women.

On Friday after Merkel and Trump met, there was a photo op for the press. Neither appeared to want to be there. A photographer asked them to shake hands for the press. Trump ignored the request. When Merkel asked him if he would like to shake hands, he ignored her too.

They shook hands on several occasions, but this one time they didn't and now that becomes the story. Pretty lame if you ask me.

Funny....this part of the CNN article kind of contradicts the headline:

They're not complaining, they're responding to Trump accusing them of owing NATO money you dope. They do need to pay more annually but the 2% is a spending target and it doesn't accrue if you don't meet it which Trump seems to think that it does.

I'm pretty sure he's not going to make NATO demand money from Germany for prior years. He's putting pressure on them to up their responsibility. And it's working, we're talking about it now.

The US has been footing the bill for much of NATO. Germany needs to step up and meet it's obligations. They may not technically owe us money, but they are not meeting their obligations per that treaty.
