For me, it is pretty simple. Private Eyes by Hall and Oats.

JCHILLTOPPERS:

I arrive in here about every two weeks to catch up a bit and stumbled onto your thread. I have to say I am bewildered as to how you drew the conclusion I would listen to Hall and Oates. While I submit my taste in music is not nearly as narrow as I have indicated in the past, it is not so eclectic as to include Hall and Oates.

Comcast has a wonderful selection of music channels and my Saturday mornings are often consumed with the big band or swing channels, soft classical (go to 5:54 and listen to the allegro in Bach's Brandenburg concerto no.3) or jazz.

Still, though, I remain committed to Vivaldi, Handel, Delibes, Albinoni, Shostakovich or Chopin.

I prefer the beauty of these artists, composers and music arrangers to the likes of Taylor Swift, who uses her music as a platform to rail at ex-boyfriends; "gangsta rappers," who speak of loading 9mm pistols or the activities of "hoes;" or country singers whose lyrics bemoan the infidelity of their spouses or the fact their dog ran away.

This fervor with classical is only partially shared with my wife. She enjoys it, but, nonetheless, is more passionate for Patti Page and Francoise Hardy.

I gather you are attached to 'N Sync?

Maybe something by Fleetwood Mac or Abba. I never met anyone who (or whose parents) listened to those bands until I met people from the NW burbs while at Champaign.

That would be Oates...NOT Oats. A horse eats oats....just saying.

an amazing assumption on your part. clearly, you felt i was referring to the very famous band that would be Hall and Oates; however, i was not. I meant what I wrote, Hall and Oats. It is not my fault you are not familiar with the Hall and Oates cover band Hall and Oats.

An assumption? Yes. A logical assumption...definitely. If this so-called band exists or did exist, I never heard of them and I seriously doubt 99% of people posting here did either. That is, IF they exist. But, if they do or did, it has never been a goal of mine in life to be familiar with the thousands of cover bands out there. It just isn't that important to me.

But, what the hell. There isn't anything else to talk about around here right now unless we start up again with LZ.

As much as I tried... I could not find any exculpatory evidence to assist defendant (JCHILLTOPPERS).

Strong contender for thread of the year.

I always pegged @MWittman as a Handel guy, but I could really see some Dan Fogelberg when he's "airing it out."

Mw's favorite song is "Adagio for Strings" as he loves the movie "Platoon" and Oliver Stone. Says it is best movie ever made.

Fine, we will call it a draw. If they exist, I have never heard of them either.

MW just confirmed with me via text: He is a big fan of the JFK soundtrack, which the Academy nominated for Score of the Year in 1991.

Given he is a history guy (at least I have always assumed MW was a man, having only met him in seance), he likely is big fan of the movie. I have never taken him as a conspiratorial figure, so i assume he must then, consider the movie a dead 10 for its accuracy; ergo, he either loves the movie or believes there was at least 2 other shooters.

Dean: Those are incoherent words from an incoherent mind.

JC: You are a very clever man pretending to be an idiot.

I recently forswore the personal, reaction or abuse, but under this circumstance, I will make a rare exception for your two pathological confidence tricksters.

Hahahaha!! I am beginning to understand your, "sort of" warped sense of humor....and I like it. But MWittman says it best when he said "You are a very clever man pretending to be an idiot." I concur.
