yeah majoring in af am studies means you can apply to grad schools as a black person
that's how it works
im gonna assume your snarky comment was a joke on this, cause diversity at the university level has far more than color of ones skin, as in a diverse group of undergraduate degrees. There are people with biology, chemistry, accounting, human nutrition, sociology, psychology, criminal justice that all apply for med school. To create a diverse class they will pick and choose those from your non traditional degrees that apply for med school (bio and chem are the norm), it makes the medical school look better, Same thing can be said for any graduate school program across the nation. And if my use of the term quota made you think I was talking about skin color, the bad news is in the United States quotas based on skin color is illegal. Just to be clear if we had been talking about communication degree, or university stuides degrees I would have said that exact same thing about diversity and quota for professional school, someone has to do anything they can to look inciting for graduate and professional schools. someone'a MCAT, GMAT, LSAT the exact same as 100 other people but they might just get that spot if they stand out in a different way.
