What if.... #1 seeds thread

Way too early BUT... #1 seeds - Cats (SEC), Badgers (big 10), Cavs (ACC)... then who? Zags, what happens if Kansas gets hot and wins Big 12 again with only a couple losses? how high is their seed ceiling? then you have Duke??

Just wanted to get some thoughts....

I'd throw in Gonzaga, Villanova, Arizona (they are getting way overlooked) and the Big XII champ (I doubt it, but possible) as the 2 seeds right now.

then look at the other power conference teams. Whoever is the best from the ACC gets a one, almost without question, and they could get a second depending on the overall record of other conference champs. The best team from the Big 12 will have an argument. Wisconsin or Maryland can do it if they stay at the top of the Big 10. Arizona will get one if they dominate the Pac 12.

People are writing in Gonzaga, and maybe they do end up there, but I think that's only if every other possible team is hovering in the 6 loss range by the end of the season. And Villanova is possible, but I think they'll need to separate themselves in terms of overall record to really have a shot.

I don't think there will be 2 teams from the ACC with 1 seeds. Got to be Duke or Va.

Gonzaga probably won't lose again with their schedule. That league is as shaky as the SEC.

I would agree in most any other scenario but Bob we are talking about Duke here.

I tend to agree SOS but you and I know that won't happen.
