What if Kirisa didn't get injured, do we win?

Kriisa is Kentucky's second worst offensive player.
He's only shooting 26.3% from three.

Almanor and Brea are the two BEST offensive players on Kentucky, and presumably, they will get more minutes with Kriisa out.

Kriisa played ok man. His positive, never-give-up attitude is infectious. He made some big shots and his energy was high as always. He even ran back and JUMPED to contest a layup after rolling his ankle. Dude is tough and I appreciate what he does for this team, and so do his teammates. Might not be the most talented player, but he’s a leader. People on here treating him like he’s Sahvir Wheeler or something don’t know ball.

Agree.

And Oweh's interview after the game, they asked him who is the vocal leader.

"Kerr."

I really like Kerr. He's clearly a vocal leader and a big part of the spirit of this team... that is very hard to quantify in stats. I also thought Robinson was amazing at the PG position down the stretch. Coach Pope brought Kerr on for a reason, so I'll just have to trust that reason and enjoy the guy while we have him. I really hope his ankle is okay. Maybe there is a newfound dynamic here that Coach will take advantage of.

This. The guy does not give up.

Jeez, give the Kriisa bashing a rest.

This board ‘s constant need for a designated whipping boy gets old.
This is just a dumb take. No one is bashing Kerr in the least and it’s a valid question. Kerr is a great kid, a vocal leader and not a prime time point guard. Are you telling me that you would have rather seen Kerr at point all game long rather than Jaxson ?

Good question OP. I asked it last night and idiots bash me too.

I don't know, but I do think Oweh guarding Nembhard made a difference late in the second half. If Kriisa was still playing, I assume he would've continued to guard Nembhard and he struggled some against him, I thought.
Kriisa played very well in the game, though !!

That’s true. However, he was almost as good as Robinson’s O rating last night. Brea is falling fast.

This. He's the enforcer and vocal cheerleader. Need a guy like that even if they aren't amazing players overall.

he guarded him the first 10 minutes of the second half and Nembhard did very little
in the first half every player we have was getting burned

We had trimmed an 18 point lead to 4 by the time he got hurt.

Nobody knows what would have happened, but claiming we would have lost if he was healthy is hater logic. Not based in reality or the trajectory of the game.

Agree. We were actually on major run. People act like we were struggling till he left.

Most people are either unwilling or incapable of changing their outlook as new information comes in. Before the game, they had the opinion "Kriisa sucks, we're better off without him" so no matter what happens in the game, they persist in pushing their prior opinion even when it makes exactly zero sense in the context of the game. And I say this as someone who HAS been very negative on Kerr this year and thought we were screwed having to start him at point in this game. But he played decently well and we made our biggest run of the game with him on the court. Bashing him after that is pure haterism.

Would we all be smarter if this thread would of never been posted? Would of CMP coached us to victory like he obviously was doing when Kerr was playing?

Yes and yes

Meh, seems kind of harsh to say if a player doesn't get injured to say that. I can see the other way, but I'll step off this one. Even tho, I might be one of his biggest critics.
