Oz being Rockwall, Texas or Wilwauma, Florida, and everything else being equal and the same for LWE, meaning following IHSA rules, while their Dallas-Fort Worth or Tampa area counterparts follow their respective regulations, how competitive would they be on an annual basis?

I picked LWE because it’s a large public district that presently is the gold standard in Illinois - not to pick a fight.

Deck would be stacked against them.
1 no spring ball
2 no scrimmages.
Per IHSA

In Texas and Florida they get to do those things.

So while LWE is playing baseball, track etc. the Texas and Florida teams are practicing, putting in plays, scrimmaging etc.

No matter they would do just fine. You guys crack me up. You act like they would get mowed down. I actually think East would punch them in the mouth. East plays fast and disaplined Football something I see overly talented teams not do very well.

Some peeps here that think Illinois team can’t complete with out of states best.

I would not be one of those people - but I would say it would not help if LWE were beholden to IHSA rules and the Texas and Florida teams in their “mythical conference” didn’t have to adhere To the same restrictions and limitations. I would say that would give them a big competitive advantage. You can agree or disagree. Just my opinion.

Texas has no summer workouts and spring ball in Florida is in May about two weeks before we can start. Spring ball in Texas is also during school hours as most of the coaches/players there also are involved in baseball or track.

So Friday Night Lights is all a sham? Why dont you just tell me there is no Easter Bunny while your at it?;)

Ok - I stand corrected. No organized summer practices in Tx! And spring ball limited as it is in college.
