What if Rudy Gobert had never tested positive?

Funny, I sort of believe it is driven by a global pandemic combined with peoples natural fears of the unknown and unseen and the desire to protect themselves, and of course by statements from public health officials about the need to stay away from other people and the possibility for a national lockdown... with a raft of other influences, of course, including the absolute glut of social media and the like that people consume, and how we psychologically interact with it. But sure, the media.

And that’s fine if you do

What about saying this is all the media's fault? I mean, it pretty clearly is a serious thing... global pandemic and all, countries closing borders... so does insisting it is all the fault of "the media" uninformed? I feel like that, over the past week or two, has become the newer version of the same tired political nonsense.
I get it, you’re not wrong about that. Again i hope common sense prevails here. I’m not smart enough to have the answers but I’ll let people who are speak. Having said that, politics and media are at this point one in the same because no matter where you sit on any issue you’ll believe whatever media you want.

Well that explains a lot these cancellations and what not I guess ...? The unaffected carriers. But yeah, I AGGREE it is way overblown. On a side note...my son said “who’s lookin? You can get that 2 for 1 special if you wipe my *** for a day” :D

There's a reason we have the mods we do. All of them are reasonable and have common sense. I don't know what the process is as to how our mods are selected but it works. OFC

I think it is a serious matter but I hate to see something like this tank the economy. I went on a golf trip to Myrtle beach this week and everything seemed sorta normal there. One course had 390 players most they had seen in a long time on a Friday. I will most likely use more sanitizer but I'm going to live my life to the fullest each day. OFC

@skysdad, I'm regretting not putting in a bidet with my bathroom remodel. Of course my dad says you can use a leaf instead. I hope it doesn't come to that.

Ah, back to Sky's original topic. I think if Gobert doesnt test positive, all conference tourneys get completed w/limited fans at minimum and selection Sunday takes place.

OFC
This is fact. Everything WAS going to continue, until the Gobert news.

Do I think the tournament would still be happening this week? No. some other news would have came out, but I do think the ACC tournament happens had Gobert not tested positive.

I'm actually glad things went down the way they did. I still haven't totally accepted the end of the season....but can you imagine the ACCT being played and Selection Sunday taking place, only to learn today or tomorrow it's being swept out from under our feet? No thanks.

Tend to agree DJ. And, I'll say it again. OUR SEASON ENDED WITH A WIN OVER UNC! And, a double digit win at that. And, UNCs season ended with a 20 plus loss to an unranked team that was most likely not going to the tournament!

Like all of you, I still feel terrible about no tournament happening this year. But the win over UNC, Tre being named ACC MVP/defensive player of the year, Big Vern and Cash receiving honors, J-ROB’s end to the season, and more softens the blow a lot.

From one of my best friends, a well-known legal guy here in New York City, who is hospitalized with corona.

Thanks again to everyone for all the kind Facebook messages and posts, emails, calls, texts, iMessages, Twitter mentions/DMs, and other forms of support. My family and I deeply appreciate it (and apologies if I can't respond individually to all of you).

A common question is, "How are you doing?" As I mentioned in my earlier message, I'm grateful to be at an excellent hospital under the care of such dedicated medical professionals. But I'm not going to lie: #LivingWithCovid sucks.

I recently posted a Twitter thread on my current condition -- -- that I'll now post here for those of you who aren't on Twitter. I'm calling this series #LatsCovid19Journal.

1. Folks, this #CoronavirusOutbreak is no joke. I’ll give you occasional updates, tweeting from “Above the Hospital Bed,” about how serious #COVID19 aka #coronavirus can be. Think of this as #LatsCovid19Journal, my thoughts on #LivingWithCovid.

2. A bit about me: I’m a generally healthy, 44-year-old male, 153 lbs. (surely less now), 5’7”, no drugs , rarely drink, no health conditions other than exercise-induced asthma, which I manage with an inhaler. #COVID19 #coronavirus #LatsCovid19Journal

3. I completed the NYC Marathon twice - not the greatest times, but I did - and even now that I can’t run much (knees post-40), each week I still walk 25 miles and go to at least 3 high-intensity interval training classes at the gym. #LatsCovid19Journal #COVID19

4. In my current state, #LivingWithCovid, I am constantly weak and winded. I’m hooked up to oxygen 24/7. Even with oxygen, the simplest tasks are extremely difficult. #LatsCovid19Journal

5. This morning, this ex-marathoner could barely walk the five feet from the bed to the toilet - and I had to pee as quickly as possible, chest heaving with the labor of breathing, because I was going to collapse if I stood too long. #LatsCovid19Journal #covid19

6. I’m usually a fast eater (bad habit, I know). Today it took my 90 minutes to eat my lunch - because I kept getting winded as I ate. Who DOES that? I’m so weak, the fork wobbled each time I lifted it to my mouth. #LatsCovid19Journal #COVID19 #CoronavirusOutbreak

7. To be sure, #COVID19 hits different people differently; as they say, #YMMV. I gave it to my husband, and for him it was a low-level flu that seems to have almost run its course after about a week. #coronavirus #CoronavirusOutbreak #LatsCovid19Journal

8. But for those who get severe cases, like me, it’s been hell. I’ve had 10 days & counting, with no real improvement, of fever, fatigue, joint aches, chills, cough, respiratory difficulty. I have never been this sick in my entire life. #LatsCovid19Journal

9. To paraphrase Beyoncé, "#COVID19 did not come to play with us hoes; it came to slay." Please keep me - and my very anxious family - in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you. #LatsCovid19Journal #CoronaVirusUpdates #Coronavirusnyc

Wow. That really puts what this thing does to you in perspective. I think after reading that was the first time I understood how bad the symptoms can be
