Used to roll in there at 2am and, of course, use a funny name since they called your name out loudly when your Tolly Ho with a sunny side egg on top and has brown's w/ cheese was ready. Somebody was always Rick Flair and the whole place yelled whooooooo !!! when the name was called and the person strutted up to the front counter.

LOL

Okay smartypants, what IS? LOL

Claudia Sanders always used to make these lists. (blech)

One of my favorite meals was at Proof on Main, but surely that isn't the best.

You know exactly what you are getting into as soon as you walk in the door. Where else can you get a good burger, cheddar tots, hashbrowns, beer, and a chocolate shake that somehow makes women pregnant all in one place?

The Corbin Applebees is gooder'n hell. Without a shadow of a doubt, the best steak in Kentucky. I've had Outback, O'Charley's, Texas Roadhouse, and EVEN LOGANS! Nothing compares. get it with a side of steamed broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes. Just go with a lil A1 and it'll make your tongue slap your brains out.

There used to be a bar and grill in Corbin, right off the interstate. Exit 25, hang a left, and it was up on that hill ,right by the northbound on ramp. For the life of me I can't remember the name. This had to have been 12 or more years ago. Anyway, it actually WAS pretty good. They had a black and bleu sirloin that hit the spot, and 1.50 draft beer.

That thing has been 20 different things. It started out as Buckner's once Corbin went wet. (The original Buckner's in Jellico) was much better but this one was still decent. It was also called Rynos (maybe), then Sherry's Tomato Grill, CB's Grill, and maybe something else. Now it's Brooklyn Brothers Pizza and actually pretty decent. It's been that for a few years. I'm not sure what is was when you visited.

I’m only familiar with Northern Kentucky. But two of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to are in my hometown of Covington.

https://deefelicecafe.com/

I’ve been to Dee Felice Cafe several times. Blackened Catfish and Red Beans and Rice are both phenomenal.

Eighteen at the Raddison (formerly, The Riverview Room) is also great. Upscale. Great service. Incredible skyline views, especially as the sun sets and city lights come on.

It has been 21 years, but I remember when I moved to Lexington for school that everyone said that the chocolate shakes from Tolly Ho got girls pregnant. I even remember talking to a guy that had just bought a pregnancy test and said "yeah my girl had a shake last night"

I just read a review of Tolly Ho that complained that it was too expensive. I don't live in Lexington anymore and it has been about 4 years since I have been there, but WTF? I used to eat there for breakfast and would get eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns with a drink for maybe $6. Last time I went in I got a ho burger, cheddar tots, and a beer and it was maybe $12. WTF you can't get much cheaper than that!
