For me, it's 150 mph in a 2008 corvette I owned in a former (younger) lifetime. Very exhilarating. Crazy thing is, that damn car had more to give. It was one sweet piece of machinery.

I've only been 90 in my vehicle (Cavalier) and not for kicks. I was late to a wedding rehearsal and one of Ohio's finest reminded me I should $low down.

Rode with a guy who took his (loaner) BMW to 120 for a very short amount of time, coincidentally also in Ohio.

Didn't care for it. I prefer living.

110, Toyota truck, driving down the hill on 27 that crosses the Ky river. Probably 20 years old.

130 in my Acura Legend Coupe at the time, somewhere 20-23 years old. Was about all it had in the tank and would not do it again. Would do track time or something to that effect but a wreck at 90+ on the interstate is pretty much death.

135-140
1985 Grand Prix and 1979 bandit trans am
Grand Prix maxed out in that range but could cruise at 100

Trans Am would have went a lot faster but we were going fast enough for me. Its previous owner (who raced late model dirt cars) said he had it to 150 on the Mt Parkway before he chickened out. He told me he thought it would go at least 160.

I've been over 100 dozens of times. No big deal to go 90-100 but once you start getting upwards of 110 you can't look down or at least I don't. Fastest for me is in the 125 range. You can do 120-125 in European cars without it seeming like you're going anywhere near that fast. BMW/Volvo is a piece of cake but you better have a big piece of road or you are insane.

I got up to 130 very quickly driving my friend's Audi S4 on I-64 outside of Louisville. Not sure how much faster it could go but that was enough for me.

70. Anything over that is automatically reckless driving in my state and there's no chance I can afford the insurance with a reckless on my record. Cops are nuts around here.

145 in my Porsche 944 about 20 years ago
Fastest in a car ever was 175 around Indy as a passenger with Emerson Fittipaldi at the wheel of the ethanol Corvette pace car about 5 years ago....now that was a rush!!!

140 mph in bro's Porche 911 turbo on I-75 just south of Whitehall. It wanted more but I backed off. One fine machine!

No bike mentions?

I think the odometer stopped at 120.

130 on my Suzuki Bandit on I-75 in northern Madison County. Scared the crap out of me. Felt like if I had tried to sit up I would have gotten blown off the bike. Never did it again.

120 mph in a '71 Grand Prix with the 455 engine on I-65 somewhere between the KY-TN state line and Bowling Green. That damned car still had more to give but I chickened out once I actually looked at the speedometer. Before my 98 Accord blew a head gasket this month, I had a yearly ritual of pegging 100 mph on I-26 between the I-95 junction and US 17A at Summerville, just to see if the old girl could still do it. She did it 17 straight years, with ease.

went 110 on the 110, which is an accomplishment considering how curvy that road is

My old 1990 Indy Pace Car Beretta GT did 120. Made a 7 mile trip on the Gene Snyder in about 4 in the middle of the night with no other cars around. Stopped doing stuff like that when another time I got a ticket doing 89 in a 65. Luckily I had slowed down before being clocked. Was around 100 mph shortly before that. Cop said 1 more mile over and he could have took me to jail.

If you're going 75 in a minivan and you feel like you're a rebel... well, your nuts are in a jar somewhere in your mother-in-law's cupboard.

Estimated 136, (speedometer was buried way past 125 mph) in a '76 Monte Carlo. On a two lane road between Hopkinsville and Bowling Green. Was 16 and one of the dumbest things I've ever done. Glad it didn't kill me or the 3 other people in the car.

If your post is getting its 75th like from a gang of losers with nothing to do but suck up and backslap each other on a message board and you feel like you're a rebel... well, you've got bigger problems than your nuts anyway.

Did 120 in my brother's 69 Dodge SuperBee. Was driving through Peoria, Illinois at about 3am Christmas morning in 1979. Had four lanes of expressway all to ourselves and it was lit up like high noon. I was taking turns as if I were at Talladega. Held it at 120 for about 30 seconds. That was plenty fun! Never been near that speed since.

Here my High speed story. Was heading to Fla. to fish back in early 80's driving on I-75 in southern Ga. just after dawn in a Chevy Silverado. I had it pegged at 130 when i glance in my rear view and see something flying up behind me. In next second a Porche Carrera goes by me like i am standing still, guy had to be going 160.

Used to do a lot of bracket racing at the local tracks, never had a real fast car, as consistency and cutting a good light was what won races, but I've had cars that ran around 125MPH when Mt Park ran brackets on a quarter mile.

The fastest I've ever been was about 140MPH in a 1969 Dodge RT 440. There is a long straight stretch on 114 between Salyersville and Prestonsburg where my buddy did it. This was when I was young and dumb, just thought to myself, hey, if he wants to wreck and tear his car up, fine. Never considered I might be killed.

My first car was a 72 Cutlass F85 with a 2.55 gear in the rearend, it registered 135 and I had it wrapped past that into the 150 mph range going down BG parkway one evening. Scared the **** out of me, car was floating across both lanes. I didn't hold that speed too long, and I had pedal left.

On 4 wheels...an electronically limited 155mph in a '06 BMW Z4si ...on 2 wheels got up to 176mph on a BMW S1000RR and then needed a clean pair of underwear.
