What is your school system doing next year in light of the coronavirus?

NTI / online classes went mostly ok for us, other than some early hitches and one confusing, mean teacher who no one likes anyway.

If they do this again in the fall, I think it will be much smoother. The teachers did a good job with what they had to work with and with the brief time they had to create entire curriculums in Google Classroom. Only one of his teachers had used Classroom before.

We're in Louisville at one of the better middle schools in the state. It would be extremely difficult to pull off for schools in low income, rural areas with large areas that don't have widespread broadband.

Found out today school is opening on time using all the recommended guidelines unless there's another lockdown.

I honestly expect schools that at starting as normal to go back to NTI days the first time 2 or 3 kids turn up with a positive test.

My wife said a good portion of the kids at her school are choosing straight NTI days instead of in person classes. It's kind of funny that people don't want to send their kids to school because they are afraid of them catching COVID but those same parents and kids are walking around Walmart without mask. [laughing]
