I am about 40lb heavier than college which was early 90’s but I can touch 10’ rim off one foot jump. Played 1 year off hoops NAIA and then 2 years D-1 baseball but would still likely need multiple orthopedic appts after to be able to get back to work lol

Even though I played lots of ball I was never a great jumper. I am (or was) 6'4" but could only dunk a tennis ball. Now, you could maybe slide a piece of paper between my feet and the ground when I jump. But, I am 65 years old now and about 80 pounds heavier than what I played at. I did make up for my lack of jumping prowess by being slow afoot too. I could shoot and pass very well though.

Way back in the day like my teen age years one of my buddies had an outdoor backboard and basket. One day we took a camera and took turns dunking the ball while one of us took pictures . We one handed some, slammed some two handed ones and a couple of us managed a reverse. ........ Of course we had dragged a picnic table up and jumped off it. Best I can remember they looked real good. I'd love to see those pictures again but no one seems to know whatever happened to them. OFC

Back in the good old days when I was what I thought decently atheletic I could grab the rim.
One weak moment in 2007 at age 57 I decided to buy a motorcycle and shortly thereafter ended my ability to ever run or jump again due to a torn up knee.

Going to measure my vert tomorrow. I really want to get to 24 inches, but I’m guessing 20 is my max.

I doubt I had 20 at 18 years old!!
In school, I could get a couple inches above the bottom of the net. I don’t know what that would measure, but that’s also with a running start. My sport was baseball!
