The original Mummy gave me nightmares.

Night of the living dead. Was 11 or so when it came out.

My brother took me to see Rising Sun at the theater when I was 11 I think and he was 17. Had Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes and was centered around some Asian guy choking a girl to death while have sex with her and they reviewed the tape for like 30 mins in the movie. A year later he took me to see Pulp Fiction. He was a great brother.

I was 11 and my parents went out of town for a funeral. I stayed with an aunt and uncle for several days. My cousin was 18. He took me a long with his girlfriend to see Airplane.

The panic scene with the topless woman was magical. :ROFLMAO:

My mom never found out about that viewing.

At about 12 I was rummaging through some vhs tapes I found in my parents attic. Me and a buddy of mine. It was full of magazines and different sht. We came across what we thought was a football movie. Took it downstairs and my childhood essentially ended.

sure enough it was sports related, equipped with a sports store owner named Mr. Greenfield and the Dallas cowboys. Debbie Does Dallas. True story. I told my father about it in my 20’s not too long ago and we had an exchange I’ll never forget.

We thought it was a football movie.

Another one that never left my mind. First horror movie that I suffered trauma from through many years was Sleepaway camp. Watched it as a young kid in the mid 90’s back when all the movie stores had row after row of 80’s slasher movies. To this day I think it was well ahead of its time, and actually predicted future events in weird ways. When that girl stool up and her manhood became apparent while making that crazy growling noise, it’s something I’ll never forget.

Terror Vision. I don't remember how old I was but it was pre teen. Dumbest movie ever, but it really bothered me at that age.

Jaws. Not only did I see the movie at age 9, I saw it alone in the theater. My Grandmother dropped me off, and said she would pick me up after the movie. This was 1975.

This was at the little Erlanger Cinema across from Dixie Chili. She took me first to Dixie Chili and ate with me. Then walked me across the street to the theater, bought me a ticket, and left.

That movie freaks me out now at age 59.

Emmanuelle series on Max. Not really too young in my eyes, but my mom's was a different story.

Mine will always be Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Rented and watched late one night while my parents were asleep. Thought about that movie for weeks afterward.

You had a freakin cool grandmother! Congrats on that. I couldn't watch blazing saddles because Mongo punched a horse (my gran loved horses)

I watched the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers when I was about 4. All I could really remember for years were the pods, and it really freaked me out. My folks took me to see Bonnie and Clyde at the drive in about the same time, man there were lots of bullet holes in that car. But they wouldn't take me to see M*A*S*H later somehow.

My dad took me to see Blazing Saddles when it came out, I was about 10, and not too young - that was a lot of fun.
