What state would you not want to live in?

Delaware and NH are two states that my wife and I haven't spent enough time in since our move up here in 2011, only went as far as Wilmington for an hour or so after a trip to Philly just to say we've been in Del. Would like to visit Del. Beach in the near future.
Any good Deep Sea Charters there in Del.?

I have not posted anything on you in a month or so. You must have a complex or something. There really is some thing to this snowflake label. You are the biggest pansy on here. Most of the mid atlantic doesn't get either one of those four with regularity. Some of the high elevation parts may get a ton of snow, but those tend to mostly pretty rural places to begin with. They happen at times of course, but not regularly for the entirety of the state.
My biggest complaint with Virginia is the inconsistent weather during the fall and spring as well as early and late winter. One day 70+, next day could have freezing temperatures. Or the days where it starts out in like the 30s or 40s and warms up into the 60s and 70s. That up and down weather made the illness I came down with this winter last for months. Just about as soon as I would get over it, the temperature would drop/raise like 30 degrees the next day and boom the illness would rear it's ugly head again.
And the humidity. It's awful all the time in the summer. It could not rain for 2 weeks and somehow the humidity is still well above 50% in the summer. Summer might actually be enjoyable if not for the humidity.
I'd stay away from Northern Virginia if cost of living is a factor. It's absurd up there, and the traffic is a damn nightmare. Luckily I live in Central VA so I can avoid it all the time.
I didn't move there; I traveled out there each week for work. They apparently shut the plant down a few years later anyway.
Trying to plan trip with 7-8 friends for the late part of the summer. Remind me, and I'll let you know what I find. I've only been here for around a month.
Lake DeGray AR is nice. Ouchita Mtns are nice. Hot Springs is nice. NLR -- ok....SLR--yuck.

I'm with rudd1, if I didn't need to live in a "city" to make money, I wouldn't. They're great to visit. Fortunately, I live in a 20,000 person or so city that's very congested but it still has the small town America feel.
I visited Key West during March, 2014. Camped out 2 days at Sigsbee NAS. Hit up Green Parrot. Decent local crowd. Really fun town. I should have stayed at Trumbo Point, but I'm ever the cheap-***. Below is sunrise at Sigsbee on March 19, 2014. Simply gorgeous.
I want to live in a rural-ish area but still close to a town. Basically, I don't want a next door neighbor, but I also don't want to drive a GD hour to get to the Krogers.

Any place with legit Asian food is a place I can be. If it has the word dragon or Fuji in its name and serves a buffet on the weekend, not legit. I'm talking ordering from picture menus with no English, empty fish tanks in the front with PVC pipe going to the back and the mop bucket with mop sitting in the bathroom. That's legit. Anything rated above B is not legit either.

Visited CA many times for work. Colleagues described outrageous home and rental prices, along with a cost of living that's just downright nauseating. .Little wonder so many migrate to TX.
Wickenburg is always a stop both coming from and going to Vegas/Laughlin. My wife's favorite thrift store is there.
The floodgates were opened wide for mostly illegal immigrants back in the 80s and, except for the expensive enclaves, it has become like a third-world country. It went from mostly conservative state leadership (Reagan et al) to downright wacko (i e Jerry Brown) recently. And it won't go back.
Of course if one is a liberal and can afford to live in isolation from the common people it's heaven because of the weather and natural beauty.

Prescott? I don't know if that will be a big retirement spot years down the road.
Never been there, but do you understand how many bad laws, job losses, terrible politicians, and other bad things can happen in two decades?
Communities can rebound that fast. They can slide even faster.
