I honestly don’t know. I don’t think we’re there yet. If they continue to press on the election stuff and actually were able to show institutional fraud, that might do it. Right now, we’re just on the losing side of an election. Half the country is rejoicing, the other half is pissed off. Same in 16 just in reverse. The more each side pushes their non compromising agenda with amped up rhetoric, the opposite side of receiving side of the rhetoric is going to get more pissed and further amp it up.
The problem is that we have a fundamental disagreement on the soul of our nation. One side wants what is best for America at the expense of the world. One side wants what’s best for the world at the expense of America. With continued amped up rhetoric, the extremists have the power and are pulling us further to the poles and we have no choice to follow or lose what we hold to be our fundamental values. It might be 5-10-20 years, but we’re on a collision course unless something changes to bring us back together. Something like 9/11. One thing is for certain, the political class has outkicked their coverage though and they saw that on the 6th. It’s why they got so scared. That really could’ve spiraled out of control very quickly across the country.
Joe, if he was a real leader and truly meant what he said while campaigning would be governing towards the middle. He’s not, even a little.
