Me, I got this nagging hip pain on a particular type of flexion and rotation. I tell my doctor and he asks if i want it X-rayed...I ask him, well, what could it be? Early arthritis, he says. I say, Ok, then what. His reply is that at least i will know what it is. I know what it is dude, my hip hurts when i move a certain way. I really don't need more information if it isn't actionable information. Im too young for hip replacement (by a lot). I think i pulled a muscle and keep re-aggravating it. It isn't bad pain, and it isn't constant, but it can be a relatively minor pain in the *** (high hat) if i have recently bothered it.

So, what they hell is wrong with you?

Could have a torn labrum in your hip. My wife had a similar pain, went to the doc, did an X-rays and an MRI and said she just needed so PT. 6 months later went to another doc who asked to see the xrays/MRIs and said she had a stress fracture and torn labrum...couldn't believe that the first doc didn't see it. She had surgery about a month ago to fix the tear.

Me, I've got two Achilles' tendons shot to hell.

Be careful with that
Guy I worked with had it rupture, infection spread, went septic, and died in 48 hours
I've been on medicine for it for like 12 years now. They said I could do surgery that might not work that great or take a pill.

Got a bad left knee - ACL tear, lots of cartilage damage, full meniscus tear. They used my hamstring to make a new ACL (big mistake, go cadaver), only I had to have a second surgery five months after the first because my meniscus re-tore during recovery, and I never got to hamstring strengthening until 2 surgeries and 8 months of rehab, at which point I was less than enthused. And the cartilage got worse. So that leg sucks, and even sucked when I was in the best shape of my life 6 years ago. Always going to hurt. At least I have an excuse for not running; doesn't apply to rowing machine or eliptical or bicycle, but still, running sucks.

Shoulders starting to hurt when I raise my arms, and I'm worried I'll have to get surgery for impingement or even rotator cuff damage (happened to my wife). Can't do pushups without severe shoulder pain, but the seated press machines are fine.

My vision is perfect thanks to Lasik. Best money I've ever spent - I was -9.25 in both eyes, which is getting too close to blind for comfort.

Cheer up everybody, it could be worse.

You could be a closeted, cock-loving, ginger-haired male nurse going through a mid-life crisis because your ball-busting beard/gf is pressuring you to move away from *** heaven, aka Key West, thus potentially ruining your career in gay porn as you work your way up through the ranks tending bar and fluffing schlong between takes.

Penis is to big and most women, contrary to popular belief, don't like it. Wouldn't wish it on anyone!

Oh for ****'s sake 79, don't be bringing natural age-related eye problems to a Diabeetus party.

LASIK surgery is for hypochondriacs

Haha I wish. Had crappy eye site from second grade until ~ 28. Coke bottle glasses ruled me out of - astronaut, fighter pilot, swimming, sunglasses, being cool, View Masters, and being a gay bartender in Key West. Also, life pro tip - don't wear hard (gas permeable, if you will) contacts in the desert.

Haven't been able to eat much more than applesauce, bland chicken and crackers in about month. Had 2 solid ***** since late february. Went to the UTC in early march, labs all came back negative for the gamut and they told me to call a primary care or gi. Since I changed insurance in january (baptist health) I couldn't get into a primary care till late may. Last 5 days I've had fevers and flu like symptoms. I called a gi the day after my utc visit and Luckily tomorrow is the day. If I can't get some answers tomorrow (im sure they'll tell me they need to run a bunch of tests which i won't be able to get in for 10-21 days for) I'll be at the ER and will refuse to leave until I get some relief.

Three vertebrae fused in my neck. Going for a fusion in my lower back in a couple months. Issues with my breathing that showed I was basically allergic to outdoors. Never had any problems during my first 30 years on this planet. Having pains in random joints sporadically. Wake up feeling worse than before going to bed. Terrible sleep from tossing and turning all night. They want to send me for a sleep study. Just to pile on I drove 12 hours straight on vacation recently and I had swelling in my feet for the first time ever (looked like cankles). Stayed swollen the whole week and the swelling still hasn't completely gone away after getting home and resting for a couple days. If this is 42 I don't know if I want to see what 60 is like.

57 years old

Eyesight is fading fast. I've got half a dozen X2.5 reading glasses stashed around the house and at work, and I take a pair with me if I leave the house. Must have them to read a menu, see my phone, do any paperwork, and to see the screen for the computer I'm on right now.

Right shoulder doesn't move the way it should. I play volleyball a couple times a week and I only have 1/4 the power to hit as I did just a few years ago. If I roll my shoulder I can feel and sometimes hear clicking sounds. Bone on bone?

Rolled my right ankle real bad about 30 years ago. To this very day I can tell when a cold front is moving in 'cause that ankle starts to throb. And at least once a month it feels tight to the point where I put on a brace and tighten it down so it feels better.

37 yrs old. family history of arthritis. at some point, everything hurts a little, sometimes, somethings hurt a lot. never been diagnosed with full on psoriatic or rheumatoid, but just symptomatic. eyesight has always sucked. work pretty much 6 days a week, second shift, for 12 years now. never a real sleep schedule. have a 7 year old, so haven't slept much at all since that happened. blood pressure wants to run a little high, 130 over 85 consistently, sometimes a little higher, sometimes lower. but always on the edge, not sure if that should be medicated or not. being an adult is not what it was cracked up to be. love my family, my wife, my daughter. love watching her grow up. but stress is not my best attribute. and women are stressful. would love to get 8 hrs of uninterrupted sleep two days in a row every now and then. but one can dream.

Right knee - chondromalacia patella (knee cap doesn't track correctly), it also has some arthritis in it. Still recovering from a bout of shingles that was diagnosed a month ago. I may need 1.0 X reading glasses. My last eye exam was 10-12 years ago and back then I was 20-10 in both eyes. Passed the flight physical for the military when I was younger. Never got any further with that.

You guys are strictly AMATEURS! I'm almost 73 and just passed my exit ramp sign on the highway of life.

1 Bald
2 First signs of cataracts detected 2 weeks ago
3 Heart attack about 8 years ago - one stent
4 Two skin cancers removed last year - head and calf
5 Angioplasty last December - another stent
6 Angioplasty in January - another stent (Afibbed on the table and they had to zap me back. Doc asked me next morning if I remembered anything in the operating room. I told him no. He said, "Good.") [laughing]

Other than this I'm pretty healthy..

When I go silent on here, you'll know I didn't just get mad and leave.

Neurfibromatosis - neurological condition I've dealt with since I've been 12. The older I've got the worse my condition has got.

My body aches all over, although over the years it's seemed I've seemed to have an extreme high tolerance of pain.

3 major surgeries, one on my left leg, which caused permanent nerve damage

2 on my neck . One surgery in 1994 I almost died from due to spinal meningitis.

Second one went much smoother although I did have a fibroma wrapped in my spinal cord that my neurosurgeon removed without any serious damage.

That last surgery happened in 1999 and knock on wood I've had no other serious issues

Migraines. Patellofemoral pain syndrome in both knees (no thanks to @JasonSpear's ilk).

Nobody ITT with COPD yet? That seems like one miserable ****ing disease.

So far neurofibromatosis wins, IMO. Besides starchief. He's just old af.

Programming note: we can't get to the point to where it's casual to post whatever in a thread title. I know there is another thread already with the same language in a quote, but that's as far I go, even on the paddock.

People can choose which threads to open but you can't choose not to see a thread title.(/tyrannicalmod)
