I do have a mild case of CRAP! polite typographical Tourette's SHOOT!. It doesn't affect my HECK! daily life all that DARN! much, but it does make FUDGE! it difficult to post on DANGITALLTOHECK!!!!!!!!! message boards, since I am afraid POOP!! to offend any readers.
You better watch it with that POOP ****. The new mod isn't kidding around... <biting nails emoji>
Disk problem in my neck and some aches and pains here and there, but normal aging crap. Overall, feel great. Shi! happens to all of us, but for the most part if your diet is not a complete mess and you exercise enough you will feel much better. Getting older does suck though.

Legally deaf. Totally deaf in right ear...20% left in left ear. Hard to communicate with, can't talk on the phone, can't go to the movies, etc.
BP is controlled with a little Rx.
Other than that I am doing fine to be in my 60's, so I don't complain.

About a year ago I started to suffer from lower back pain. I played ball 2-3 times a week -or more- against solid competition, mostly younger and in better shape than me. I'm too competitive to know my roll and ended up really messing it up. It ended up being sciatic nerve issues (I think, as it was dead on everything I read about and heard about from others with it).
Took 6 months to really recover enough to where it wasn't a major pain in the ***. I've started playing ball again, but I still have some lower back issues (nothing like what I went through last year, tho).
Prolly need to see a doc, but not until I'm at least 40. I've even turned down free consultation and possible treatment from a good friend who is a PT.
Best guess on other issues - slightly elevated blood pressure and cholesterol. But the back thing has me worried considering my two favorite "sports" are Bball and golf.

Which one of you codgers care to tell me what to expect from a colonoscopy? Got one scheduled in 36 hours.
Had a digital rectal exam at the er last night, which felt like dumbo giving me a handshake from behind, so I'm hoping the colonoscopy isn't worse.
Gotta love it when your doctor calls your CT scan results "impressive" and wants to do the colonoscopy on the spot.

Ideally you won't feel a thing - because you'll be sedated. Some people don't get enough sedation, however, and feel some pain, but they often don't remember it. In one of my c-scopes, I was in enough pain that I threatened to punch the doc if he didn't stop immediately. I have no memory of the whole thing, but he did stop, and now I get propofol when I have a colonoscopy.
The worst part is often the prep, which will make you run to the bathroom 10 or 20 times starting the night before the scope.
Also, when you wake up, you might have the most gas you've ever had. Be sure to let 'er rip as loud as you can.
You're going to say a bunch of stupid **** and your wife will make fun of you for a couple of days. That's the only bad part, as far as I remember. Best naps I've ever taken.

:flushed: $85.00, I think you got took, buddy. You can buy magnesium sulfate at any drug store, for much MUCH cheaper. That stuff will clean you out pretty damn quick.
Yeah, the prep is by far the worst part of a colonoscopy. I've had 3 and have never felt a thing during the procedure. Versed is a hell of a drug.
And rack the part about saying embarrassing stuff while sedated. Apparently during my most recent scope, as soon as the doc started to put the camera in, I shouted "ARE YOU AT LEAST GONNA BUY ME DINNER FIRST?!"

I didn't mind the 'shitting all night' part as much as the 'no eating anything for 24 hours' part.

Nurse woke me up and said I may feel drunk as a monkey. I told her I have been drunk as monkey numerous times and this wasn't one of them.
Promptly ate a bunch of food, grabbed a 6 pack, and played 18 holes of golf.

ER doctor said it was probably crohns or colitis. GI didn't disagree. But GI said one of the prescriptions ER gave me under the right/wrong conditions could cause something called "mega colon" ( if I remember what he said correctly) which could kill me. How awful would it be to die from mega colon?

My mom has something but she doesn't really volunteer details (I didn't really ask until this came on). She just said it was IBS.

The last 4-5 days there have been traces. Ok... Yes, guys. I've had bloody poo. It's tough to talk about.
I think I remember him saying streaking. I was out of it and I don't have it in front of me.
