I missed the last home game so I wanted to be here tonight. What a shame the game wasn’t very good.
But I did seem some stuff here and there that gives me a little hope. Jones has significantly improved and Boo didn’t go hero ball for the last four minutes. There was passing, but not smart passing. There were wide open shots, but rushed and badly taken.
Robbie looked ok, but I hope his leg is still bothering him because he was unable to create any space for himself and lost his man a lot on D. He looked better last month.

Most of you seem convinced Collins will be back. I am not. This is like the Byrdsong days, minus the weird spectacle of "What will the coach do next?"

Also minus anyone near the ability of Geno Carlisle.

If a new coach stepped in next year, the first thing that would be addressed is attitude and intensity. In addition, several players would be informed that they will never play meaningful minutes again and they may want to consider other options.

i thought we were going to pull a NU for once and make a comeback when we cut it to 13 with 6:30 left

NU was lazy and didn't get back on defense though and michigan immediately hit a transition 3 and all hope was lost.

when Jones and Turner are two of the top 3 scorers and only Jones and Kopp score in double figures its going to be hard to win

I think they're just beaten down. I think this has very little to do with Michigan.

I don't disagree that the Cats were bad tonight. However, it's not like Michigan was casual tonight. Teske and Davis owned NU's "bigs."

Also, Howard had a good plan tonight. Did Kopp have an open look tonight? Somebody was always on Kopp.

My intention was less to slight Michigan than to assert that any other team in the conference would also have crushed us tonight.

Collins will be back, unless he chooses another job. Just what coach do to you think will eagerly want this NU job? You feel it's ok for a coach to run players off,? Why?

Nice strawman.

No, I hate running off players, but it's the reality of the college game. I also didn't predict that he would not be back.

What I actually wrote was that "if" he were to not return, the new coach would have a lot of rebuilding to do.
